5.0 out of 5 stars Remarkable!, May 16, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: In Her Own Words: The After-death Journal of Princess Diana (Paperback)
Having read many Diana books (concerning her after life)Christine Toomey captures exactly what the others have said. I have read "Diana Speaks by Chairman Yao" in the United States where Diana hints that she will contact others...telling us, her words will continue to come through to us. "In Her Own Words by Christine Toomey" in the United States was obviously the continuation. Also, "Divine Intervention by Hazel Courtney" in England, a woman who writes she was not Diana's friend, but an acquaintance of Diana and she too channels Diana's thoughts. In Sweden, "Rita Eide" a known channeller writes her book entitled "The Celestial Voice of Diana." Eide never knew Diana personally, but her book is sent to someone that did know Diana. This person finds Eide's book incredible and based on truths. All of these books follow a pattern of matching each other on several issues of Diana's life making them seem more creditable reading. Personally, I feel these books are interesting to read. In these books I have learned what Diana felt about "fortune tellers" and how she understands, they are helpful to a point, but the readers only see so much. Again, their perception, just as these channellers are picking up what they perceive with Diana coming through to them. Some of the issues will follow a pattern and read the same in some respects in each book. It is REMARKABLE to me that four different writers from four different areas of our world touch on many of the "same" issues of Diana's life about The Princess's feelings and concerns. It is obvious to me, The People's Princess continues to have something worth sharing with all of us.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary validity, September 19, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: In Her Own Words: The After-death Journal of Princess Diana (Paperback)
This extraordinary book rises above all question of doubt as to its validity because its information was shared with the author before that information was known by the world. No one but Diana could have shared this information with the author because no one but Diana would have known it at the time. Having myself spoken to the author about this, she assured me that the book was written immediately after the event and that it was later neither amended nor changed.

Reading this book in the hindsight of the present, it is of course easy to say: "But all of this information is known!" The important thing to remember is, that it was not known in September of 1997 when the author was writing the book.

At that time Diana told the author that a motorcycle and a light-colored car had been racing alongside Dodi's limo and suddenly caused a brilliant light to be flashed into the limo, blinding everyone in it, and it was that, that caused the crash.

None of that was known at the time. And it wasn't until Diana's bodyguard, who was initially in a coma, then, even after regaining consciousness was unable to speak--or even remember what happened, until months later--finally revealed that all of those details were true.

Diana further said it wasn't an accident, but a conspiracy to cause the limo to be wrecked. No one knew that at the time. And even though everyone, since, has insisted that there was no conspiracy, the facts surrounding the light-colored car all imply that there was! After the accident, it was discovered that a light-colored car had in fact sideswiped the limo, leaving traces of its paint on the limo. Why did the car come in contact with the limo? Could it have deliberately hit the limo to force the limo driver to swerve away from it and hit the pillar? No one ever came forward to admit being the driver of that car. The French police searched for that car for several years. It only recently was found. But its owner, it is claimed, is now--dead! Could anyone be expected to believe all that is not conspiratorial?!!!

Diana prophesied that the circumstances of the conspiracy "will" "eventually" "become apparent." Of the facts about the car above, is that not part of the fulfillment of her prophesy?!

The preceding is just a sampling of the relevancy and validity of the information of Ms. Toomey's book, for anyone who has the intelligence to appreciate the value of what they are being told.

Considering the skepticism and, in some cases, even hostility of the public, the author is to be admired and applauded for having the courage to come forth to share this truth. Both the author and Diana are also to be appreciated for how their wonderful achievement was arrived at, for it took extraordinary ability on the part of each of them for it even to happen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Believeable!, October 17, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: In Her Own Words: The After-death Journal of Princess Diana (Paperback)
This book by Christine Toomey is believeable. Diana answers many questions we all have had since her death. I had just watch a documentary only days before the book arrived, about what was speculated to have occurred in the tunnel at the time of the accident. These were eye-witness accounts of those that were driving beside and out of the tunnel at the time of the accident. I had goosebumps reading the exact information in this book and some addition information which was most interesting. Having listened to lectures by those that have had near-death experiences and also read accounts of the after-life, In Her Own Words is a truly an incredible book. You will learn not only the answers you may have had about Diana, but also answers about the spiritual plane. The message touches your heart in many ways and lifts your spirits. It helps one understand that your life has great reason and purpose. Those you encounter are your lessons however painful or joyful they become. Life is a school and this book is a great study guide.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for anyone wanting to learn more the afterlife!, December 10, 1999

If you have already read Betty Eadie's near-death experience in "Embraced by the Light", Christine's wonderful book takes over where Betty's leaves off and helps to fill in the gaps. I felt like I was really there with Diana experiencing each step of her healing and re-education on every level. By listening to Diana explain each step in her development, it makes perfect sense as to why we experience what we do here on earth. It also explains God's plan for us and how we can achieve perfection by completing our lessons in order to be able to join God the Father in Heaven.

This book talks about suicide and the souls having to come back eventually to still learn the lessons they had agreed upon before they took on their physical bodies. Also it explains that those who commit suicide have to watch the pain they have put those through who they left behind. These souls were advised they should have asked for help in order to have avoided taking their own lives. It may have saved them from such a drastic act.

This was absolutely one of the most enjoyable and enlightening books on the spiritual realms I have ever read. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about the complete picture and meaning of our lives.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: In Her Own Words: The After-death Journal of Princess Diana (Paperback)
I own over 500 Princess Diana books and I am drawn to Diana books that are rather obscure in their content. After all who wants to keep reading the same story over and over again? I hesitantly purchased this book thinking I could be open minded enough to be able to appreciate what this author had to share. I tried to read this book three times and each time I began to start reading it I couldn't stop laughing at it's absurdity. It's not that I don't believe in an after life but what really threw me was the fact that Diana refused to reveal the identity of her murderer(s) to the author. While she was alive she wrote a letter with this information but in death she doesn't want the culprit punished for his/her crimes. It seems to me everyone who brooches this subject will not go ahead and name names to avenge her murder(s)...(The most recent example is Paul Burell's book with Diana's letter that named names). I feel authors are afraid of the repercussions of naming a member of the British Royal family as a murderer. This ambivalence makes absolutely no sense to me. I stopped reading the book altogether when the author claims that it was revealed to Diana in heaven by her guardian angel the she was once Queen Elizabeth the 1st in another life. I love a good fiction book about Diana but this was just insulting not ony to her memory but also to the reader. I can only imagine what William and Harry would think of this account of their beloved mother in heaven? It would probably sicken them! If you want to read Diana based fiction I recommend "Whose Death in the Tunnel" by Aaron McCallum Becker and "Di and I" by Peter Leftcourt.......both of which are available here at Amazon! I do think that the author of the book I am reviewing honestly believes every word she has written but for me it was one long exercise in bad tase! I wonder if Christine Toomey lost her mind all at once or was it a gradual process?

This wonderful book is riveting! Many details of Diana's life, especially concerning the "accident", relayed to Christine by Diana herself have, AFTER publication, come to light as facts after all. Fascinating material by a very gifted lady!

5.0 out of 5 stars It's enlightening, captivating and inspirational., November 17, 1999

This review is from: In Her Own Words: The After-death Journal of Princess Diana (Paperback)
I am still reading Christine Toomey's Book "In Her Own Words: The After-death Journal of Princess Diana". I am reading it slowly because I want to absorb every precious word. I can actually feel Diana's Spirit talking to me as I am reading. Diana was a really beautiful, loving person and it really comes through in this Book. I truly believe that it is Diana talking through Christine because of her great love of humanity.

I cannot see how anyone could read this Book and not enjoy it. It certainly can and will bring out the goodness in people. That is what this Book is intended to do. I hope there are a lot of others who will agree with me.

Since I am mourning the loss of my Dad, I am truly inspired by Christine Toomey's writing and talent.

Thanks again Christine. God Bless you and your lucky family!

Yours truly,

Laura Hayes

5.0 out of 5 stars In Her Own Words:The After-Death Journal of Princess Diana, December 15, 1999

This review is from: In Her Own Words: The After-death Journal of Princess Diana (Paperback)
As a metaphysician and a psychic communicator and counselor, I was, at first, skeptical when I was given a copy of this book. However, my skepticism dissolved almost immediately as I began to read the Introduction. Ms. Toomey is no smoke and mirrors psychic. She is much like you or I.....and was as surprised as we would be if Princess Diana appeared to us in our kitchens! Ms. Toomey was the skeptic, and as a result, has given us a book which is true to its every word. It is not only an interesting profile of a dynamic, compassionate, and troubled princess (at Diana's own admission); but also a book filled to overflowing with beautifully descriptive and understandable explanations of what happens to us when we die. As Diana explains, we simply discard our physical bodies and transition into places of beauty and knowledge where we learn about our recent incarnation, and begin to plan for our future ones. I felt as I read this intimate and loving journal that I was experiencing Diana through her own words...and I am convinced that, indeed, I was. It is a beautifully descriptive, lovingly written book filled with insights, compassion, and an intense desire to continue making the world a better place for all. It is apparent that Ms. Toomey is a gifted psychic and writer, and one who searches for the truth. This book not only reminds the reader of the remarkable Diana, but causes one to realize the courage it must have taken to channel this material and release it to the public. This book is not simply the story of Diana, it teaches us valuable lessons we should use each day. It is beautiful and insightful on many levels, and I am grateful to Ms. Toomey for her efforts in bringing this book to us.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, February 4, 2001

This review is from: In Her Own Words: The After-death Journal of Princess Diana (Paperback)
I have read many books about the afterlife and almost every book ever written about Princess Diana. Unfortunately, this author hasn't read any. Her "glimpses" of the afterlife don't ring true and her description of Princess Diana's personality is equally off base. I was disappointed because I thought this would be a book I'd love. Instead it just made me cringe. Read it if you like but please search Amazon for other books on the afterlife and other books on Princess Diana. Don't fall for this foolishness. You can do so much better.
