Book Description

A die-hard Red Sox fan gets the chance to manage the team "HER" way...

The Red Sox hold the record for the longest sellout streak in the Majors and now it's in jeopardy—the Sox are slumping, playing lousy ball and nothing kills ticket sales faster than a losing streak. The team owner is desperate to keep his streak alive and knows he must act quickly to revive fan interest. So under the guise of a charitable fundraiser, he decides to try something completely over-the-top and auctions off a chance to manage the Sox.

Auction winner Ginger McCall is a hardheaded business entrepreneur and baseball junkie. How difficult can it be to manage a couple of baseball games, she asks?

Manager McCall is about to find out…

4.0 out of 5 stars If only a fan could manage a team January 30, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Nice fantasy about a die hard Red Sox fan (who happens to be a lady) who gets a chance to manage a team "her way".

Although the story is told from a female perspective, it should appeal to any die hard baseball fan who has watched a game and 'just knew' that they could do a better job managing the ball club than the guy in the dugout.

A unique story which I recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific!!! January 23, 2012

Her Team is the best e-book I've read. A female baseball manager turns the team in a slump around by getting back to the basics. It was hilarious every step of the way - an all around feel-good novel and definite page turner, similar to the fun baseball movies out there detailing the underdog's comedic struggle to make a comeback. You can't help but get caught up in the team dynamics and rooting right along with them. Anyone who's even a small fan of baseball will get a huge kick out of reading this, I sure did!

4.0 out of 5 stars A sports story that women will love! October 24, 2014

I never would have believed that I would enjoy a sports story about baseball. This was about a warm and funny and feisty young woman with a lot of heart. WOW- a great story that men will appreciate as well. Really well done.
