About the Author

Venus Andrecht is a Master Herbalist and iridologist, having studied with the world-famous herbalist Dr. John R. Christopher and holistic practitioner Dr. Bernard Jensen. She has been a student of Dominion Herbal College in Canada and has studied with numerous other naturopathic doctors. After having owned a store-front herb and natural products shop and developed several hugely successful health-related networking businesses, she was inspired to write a number of books, including The Outrageous Herb Lady, The Herb Lady s Notebook, Prospecting, Bad Blues, and MLM Magic. Her successful businesses and books led to her becoming a consultant to the networking industry, as well as an international speaker, appearing on radio and T.V. Venus has also been featured in numerous national magazines and journals.

Today, Venus continues her search for wellness through her spirituality. In addition to her long career in natural health, she is also a practicing medium and counselor. Her psychic gifts have recently led her into contact with a group of non-physical energies she calls the Beings, and the extraordinary communication with the Beings has radically shifted her understanding of our place in the world.

Venus makes herb use safe and easy. She gives many examples and stories of herb usage. If you are just a beginner or a long time user, this book will open your eyes to the historical and practical application of herbs in our lives today. This is a good read, and the best part is...if you write to Venus she WILL answer you! EVERY PERSON interested in herbs must own this book! No dry reading here, enjoy!

Venus' witty approach to healing is a much needed breath of fresh air to the alternative health care community, proving once again that along with her herbs, laughter is still the best medicine.

Venus, you rock ... I've only just discovered you within the last year but you've got some awesome gifts to share with the world.

Love your cover (1984 printing; 5th printing 1987) beautiful and artistic, surely you created it ... oh, there's your signature hidden w/i like in "Where's Waldo." And, the Joe Butts photography credit ... real? Also, love the simple but eloquent words on the rear, "Using simple Herbal Programs and True case histories from her files, she shows you how to get well. Cheaply and Easily (my favorites). Only the names have been changed to protect the indignant."
