An excellent music book along the lines of "jazz fake books" that provide melody and chord changes for some of the more harmonically, melodically (and yes, obscure) creatively original tunes in all of jazz.Now we need the companion piece for Nichol's "popular" tunes (relatively speaking)

it's great to see some of nichols' work getting the credit it deserves. one cannot play jazz without listening to herbie nichols, and this book does a great job of writing out his compositions.
