Thank you Pete! I just closed my eyes and I was back at the blues clubs in Phoenix dancing the night away. Blues at it's best! Shake it but don't break it baby....

4.0 out of 5 stars I'm Here Baby, my review from Barcelona, August 29, 2007
This review is from: I'm Here Baby (Audio CD)
American BLUES has given a series of great Blues shouters as Jimmy Witherspoon, Big Joe Turner, Jimmy Rushing, Jimmy T99 Nelson, some aspects of the great Jazz singer Ernie Andrews among others and also this great Blues shouter Big Pete Pearson who I didn't know before listening his 5 stars record 'One more drink', this is logical because it was the first national released after over a half century before being recognized in his own country. 'I' m here baby' is a total Blues record with important contributions among them Ike Turner, Kid Ramos, Johnny Dyer and his cousin W. C. Clark, as more outstanding. All themes have a great level but I would emphasize the Chicago Blues Andrew Hogg' s "Too many drivers", the originals "My baby is a jockey" and "Worried about my baby" the slow Curtis Jones' s "Tin pan alley" and Percy Mayfield' s "The highway is like a woman" and a great closing track Blues as the original "Texas Blues memories" where Pearson establishes a vocal dialogue with W.C Clark and also a great work of the Larry Reed's saxophone. A very good record, I give it 4 stars.
