5.0 out of 5 stars The colors and shapes were amazing
I read this book to my 5 year old daughter and she loved it. Some of the shapes were above her head (and mine, too!) but there was a glossary at the end of the book that explained them and she loved that. The colors were vibrant and she loved the story. She thought it was great that the kids saved the parents.
Fun book to read with your child. It also has software...

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful
A mindless, inane book. The story is dull. The focus on terminology of complex shapes was lost on our young children. All they got out of this book is that there are "bad blobbies" out there. Great, more nightmares. Don't buy this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kids really identify with the Blobbies!, August 24, 2003

Jorge has another winner here! The Blobbies are charaters that represent each of the colors of the rainbow and are able to morph in to any shape imaginable. Also, each character has it's own set of personality traits that kids can identify with. The first time we read the book, the kids were excited to discover which Blobbie each of our family members most closely resembled. Idetifying with one of the Blobbies in the story is a great way for them to feel involed in the Blobbies' adventure! Here come the Blobbies is the current favorite at our house!

My son (6) and I love this book! We had so much fun not just reading it but then deciding which Blobbie was most like ourselves. It is quite imaginative and full of color. I've been recommending it to all of our friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars What Blobbie is most like you??, September 28, 2003

Take the test on the cd included with the book! This is a classic good verses evil tale told in a fresh new way. It's fun and educational, and the accompanying cd is fabulous. Boys and girls, children and adults alike will be able to relate to this adventure because it emphasizes that creativity, community, knowledge and faith are the ingredients to conquering evil.

5.0 out of 5 stars I dig platonic solids, September 4, 2003

I'm not a five-year-old, nor do I know very many five-year-olds, but I do really appreciate books and movies that are made to be fun for kids and also adults (unlike Barney, or that Telletubbies crap... I'm a Muppets sort of girl). My friends and I read "Here Come The Blobbies" and found it terrifically cute... the story as well as the artwork. And while I'm sure it would be entertaining for a kid, it was funny and entertaining for us, as well. Plus, he manages to work in something similar to Meyers-Briggs personality types, and some education about Platonic Solids, so it would actually be a pretty fun learning experience for the rug-rats.

5.0 out of 5 stars My kids LOVE the Blobbies book and free CD that came with it, October 1, 2003
This review is from: Here Come The Blobbies (Hardcover)
My kids (ages 4 and 7) absolutely love this book. They enjoy reading the book, and we spend a lot of time listening to the fun songs that come on the CD ROM (that is included for free with the book) in the car. They also really like the games on the CD ROM and would play for hours if I would let them! This book is fun to read (for me too), has a good storyline and fabulous illustrations. I'm going to by the other book by this author! I think you get a lot for your money too.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm Indigo and proud of it!, September 22, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Here Come The Blobbies (Hardcover)
The Blobbies is a great concept. It bridges the gap between dull children's books and cool science fiction comic books. This book gets my kids imagination roaring. We've spent hours identifying ourselves with the characters and their unique personality colors. The Blobbies can truly morph into the mind of the observer. The Blobbie song (one of the many things included on the CD) also has a way of creeping into your mind when you least expect it. Watch out, they're addictive.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME CHILDREN'S BOOK, September 16, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Here Come The Blobbies (Hardcover)
I bought this book for my children, and it soon became their favorite book. They can read it without difficulty, and they enjoy the interactive, educational CD-ROM that came with the book.

Also, I must confess that I have been playing with the Blobbie Shape Challenge myself, and I quite understand the reason that my children like that video game so much; it is quite fun, and certainly it brings back many good memoriesthe illustrations are awesome! ...a MUST BUY

5.0 out of 5 stars An exceptional book for little children, August 29, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Here Come The Blobbies (Hardcover)
I don't remember having ever come across a book for (little) children that made such a big impression on myself, and that at the same time immediately became the favorite of my children (4 and 6). Don't miss out on the opportunity to be among the first who are discovering this incredibly talented and skilled new author from Peru! Highly recommended.
