5.0 out of 5 stars The Littles
The Littles is one of my favorites. It is the prequil to the animated series and tells how Henry meets Tom and Lucy Little. (note: how the 30 minute cartoon says Henry found Tom and Lucy is NOT true according to the movie!!--watch and you'll find out, as Paul Harvey put it, "...the rest of the story") The characters are honest, genuine, and teach kids that...

3.0 out of 5 stars entertaining, but there's a problem
I used to watch The Littles as a kid, so I let my three year twins watch the video. They watched it many times often wanting it for both their daily videos. Then one called the other a dummy and when I told her that wasn't nice she changed it to stupid. I wondered where she heard that. This beautifully animated movie is great for all ages.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Enough, March 16, 2006
This review is from: Here Comes the Littles (DVD)
An obscure title for most people but I do remember watching it as a kid and seeing it on the disney channel a few times. I really enjoyed this among other cartoons from the 80s. They don't make cartoons like this anymore and it really brings back memories of the cartoons I loved in the 80's. If you are looking into purchasing the above title my guess is you were searching for it or other cartoons of the era. If not it is a cute tale about little people who live in the walls of a house and fly arounfd in sardine cans etc. Two Younger littles end up in a suitcase and find there way to young henry's (human character) evil stepuncles house where they must help henry escape and save their familys money from the uncle. The only complaint that I really do have is that the color saturation in the dvd quality is way too much. Yah I know just fix that on the TV menu but even when, it is still oversaturated. I almost wasn't sure if this was the right movie when I first put it in. It had been a while. Movie is still very lovable and a classic for sure. Enjoy.

4.0 out of 5 stars The littles first big screen movie!, January 23, 2009
This review is from: Here Comes the Littles (DVD)
The littles like many 80's cartoons got a big screen release based on the show. The film takes place before the show and shows how henry met the littles. It later aired on the abc weekend special (in 5 parts) and the disney channel. It's a great kids movie.

Note that this is not in the littles complete collection so you will have to buy it by itself. I like the dvd but only have one complaint with it. It's not the original end credits to the film.
I have a vhs copy and it ends with movie style end credets with a updated version of the littles song. On the dvd it only has the end credits to the tv show! They cut out the movie credits and replaced it with the show end credits. The rest of the film is fine and it's in widescreen but i wish i had the full film. It loses a star for that.

The only extra's are intro's to other shows. No movie trailer.

5.0 out of 5 stars classic cartoon, May 27, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Here Comes the Littles (DVD)
The Littles was a great show because it was like being in a crazy world where everything is way bigger than you. Thats something that is lacking in alot of cartoons - imagination. This one had a lot and is a classic cartoon by now. And, oh yeah, this is real fun too because it is funny too and then I laughed, but then Jimmy threw a book at my head and then I cried and got mad then I hit him in the mouth too. But then we just made up friends again and then watched this again and it was still funny so much!!!!!!!!!

I bought this for my daughter, who was in Kindergarten at the time. She loved it!! She was able to read the book and the story really captured her attention and imagination. I recommend this book for little ones that are able to read. They will love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Here come the littles, February 4, 2008
This review is from: Here Comes the Littles (DVD)
I love this movie when i was a little kid, eventhough it was made 2 yrs before i was even born. I hope to pass this on to my future children so they can watch it & love it as much as i do too. It's a great 80's kid movie just like the care bears, my little pony etc. If only cartoons were made that now, but there not which sucks. Since nothing is the way it used to be. This movie is a great movie, that i would recommend it to anyone to watch it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I was so happy to find this!, November 15, 2007
This review is from: Here Comes the Littles (DVD)
This little movie is just as enthralling as I remember it to be. I watched it over and over as a child, and now my two year old loves it just as much as I did. If you remember this movie from your childhood, you have to buy it and watch it as an adult. It brought back so many memories for me! Why can't they still make cartoons like this?

Then one called the other a dummy and when I told her that wasn't nice she changed it to stupid. I wondered where she heard that. Since The Littles was their most recent obsession I suspected it and paid more attention when they were watching. Granpa Little regularly calls Dinky "Stupid" "Dummy," and even "Fool." I don't want my children to pick up these words and I hope to somehow edit them out.

5.0 out of 5 stars a "Little" enjoyment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![!!!!!], May 24, 2004

First of all, I want to say what an honor it is to be the first person to write a "mini" review of this DVD. Frankly, I'm surprised that more people haven't "weighed" in. Sadly, many people are biased against "little" people.

The Littles are my favorite show ever, if you "measure" my enjoyment in "proportion" to the "size" of the protagonists. Which I do.

Dude, all I know is that the Littles RULE. Think about it. They could make boats from corks and stuff. Not that I ever saw them do that, but they totally could. By the way, are they Vulcan?

The Littles were "little," admittedly, but that does not preclude them from achieving "great big" things. Great "big" things. For example, one has a mustache. A "little" one, yes, but still - a mustache!

I kind of want a Little. Or two. They don't take up much space, being "little" and all.

To conclude, I'd like to add a "Big" finish. Get it? Littles - "big" fun for everyone!
