It'd be a shame if Bobby was solely remembered as a handsome teen idol from the early 70s.Hey,he had a great singing voice and had cool pop songs!This is a great CD.I'm not sure where these 2 albums fit in his career.If you like David Cassidy and the partridges,you'll probably find a common thread here.

I grew up loving Bobby Sherman, My dad bought me "With Love Bobby" for my 12th birthday. I turned 50 this year. It really took me back. I love it.

This twofer has 2 of Bobby Sherman's most memorable albums, Here Comes Bobby and With Love, Bobby, nicely packaged on one CD.

Here Comes Bobby is the better of the two albums, with two of Bobby's greatest hits, Easy Come, Easy Go and La La La (If I Had You). The 2nd one is one of my favorite songs of his. I like She's a Lady, with its horn and harpsichord arrangment. I also really like Come Close to Me, and Bobby's own composition, ?July Seventeen. It's almost Dylanesque in its words, and it's quite beautiful. His other composition, Two Blind Minds, is also really cool. I love the silliness and overly cuteness of Hey, Honey Bun as well. Honey Bun is probably Bobby's corniest song, but I can't help but sing along.

With Love, Bobby is also really cool. It has one of his signature songs, Julie, Do You Love Me?, along with Sweet Gingerbread Man, a song from a movie (The Magic Garden of Stanley Sweetheart) which I've never seen, but I would be inclined to because I like the song. Hey Mister Sun is also here (one of my faves). The album has a bit of a country tinge to it, especially in songs like Sweet Touch of Life, Oklahoma City Times (a really good one), and the extraordinary Message to my Brother. Brother could have been easily covered by the Byrds during their magnificent country/rock period. It's that good of a song. The final track, Good for Each Other, has a killer horn opening and closes the album on an awesome note.

Here Comes Bobby and With Love, Bobby are two of Bobby's finest albums. While both albums run a mere 30 minutes, there's not a bad song in either album. Sometimes that's better in my opinion to release a shorter album packed with excellent material rather than fill an entire CD (which can go up to 80 minutes) with filler and stuff that should haven't been recorded, much less released. While this type of music isn't deep or profound, it's still awesome.

I just ordered this for my sister's birthday. I remember her mindlessly spinning this on the family turntable until I couldn't get it out of my head. One day she was particularly cruel to her sweet younger brother, and in a fit of rage worthy of an 8 year old boy, I spun her Bobby Sherman album on the stereo as I slowly ground a twinkee down into the undeserving grooves of vinyl. With a 3" stub of twinkee stabbed into poor Bobby, and a racetrack of golden cake and cream filling forming a sadistic spirographic swirl of satisfaction, I closed the stereo lid and let my work harden and cure. Days later I was rewarded with a horrific screach from the family room and have been running for my life ever since. I figure I'd better do something before one of us dies... Happy 52nd Birthday! Oh, and sorry Bobby... twinkee anyone?

The service I got was wonderful and the product came in perfect condition. The cd itself was fantastic and transported me back to my childhood!

I'm sure this will be great. However, have not opened it yet as it is a present for my cousin, whose birthday is in the near future.
