If you were a child of the 60s and 70s and had any acesss to a black community or Black American culture, you'll rmemeber sneaking to listen to your parents' Pigmeat Albums. I loved the sketch humor of these routines, as it was imaginative even though I don't get much of the double-entrndre at the time (particularly the sexual baseball references in "Batter Up" or the punch line of "The Trial." But overall, it's hilarious and timeless. Check out the pre-rap records "I Got the Number" (sampled in Arrested Development's "Ease My Mind" and Queen Latifah's "Ladies First") and "Here Comes the Judge." The dated references in the latter tune to Ho Chi Minh and the Paris Peace Talks do not hurt the enjoyability of this. Get it and laugh.

Court is Now in Session,

If you like old school comedians such as Redd Foxx, Moms Mabley, or Richard Pryor then you'll love this man. If his silly plots down make you laugh the way he talks and tells people off will. Pigmeat was the type of dude that was funny and would tell you off in a minute. Buy this CD you'll be glad you did.
