Building on the success (and the hilarity) of Rhyming Dust Bunnies, Jan Thomas, scores another hit with "Here Comes the Big, Mean Dust Bunny!". This time, however, a grey, big, mean dust bunny is introduced along with familiar dust bunnies Ed, Ned, Ted, and Bob. I read this story today to a group of 1st graders who are acquainted with the first book and were ecstatic that the saga of the dust bunnies continues. Fat Cat from "What Will Fat Cat Sit on?" makes an uproarious appearance that had the students giggling with delight. Afterwards, they were clamoring to be the first to check it out. Most certainly, the author has another winner with this book.

My kids loved the first Rhyming Dust Bunnies so we bought this one without ever reading it. Although my kids enjoy it immensely, it is not as funny and just plain fun as the first one. However, the second one does have a good message about bullies. I recommend getting both books but understand the first one is better.
