A real jewel,

I was just so lucky to have stumbled upon this group. My analogy would be a cross between the Cardigans and the Cars. A crossover between Retro and New Wave, yet extremely listenable in the 21st century. Indeed, the future of pop music may be "songs 7-minutes long where the boys sing higher than the girls". I have played little else on my iTunes / iPod / car audio the past few days, just like the time I discovered The Prodigals and They Might Be Giants. Already waiting for more from these guys.

I kinda found this by accident one day doing a google search for Bill Roussou - as he was in a band Dixie Star, back when I used to play in a band. We had played once with them, and I really liked their style.
I really dig this band, and can't wait to hear more of them. One of the songs from their upcoming album is really cool.

A Monolithic Debut,

a great album and a must have. i couldn't believe this was a debut album at first, but even better is, they are a local San Francisco band. The synth pop/rock influences that are weaved all through this album will have you hummin/singing/tapping and generally annoying anyone who isn't familiar with this band. But once you own it, you will want to share it with everyone you know.

a great album and a must have. Full of Synth pop/rock influences i couldn't believe that this was a debut album. Even better was the realization that they are a local San Francisco band. The melodies are infectious and will have you humming/ singing/ tapping and just generally annoying anyone around who is unfamiliar with this band. But rest assured, once you own the album, you will want to share it with everyone you know.

Stumbled across this record on the advice of a friend, and have left it in heavy rotation on my stereo. Amazing arrangements with unexpected influences at every turn. Brilliant debut!

I hadn't bought any cds in a while, but after hearing The Monolith at a friend's house I had to get it. Being that its indie took a while to find but it was worth the wait. Awesome! Compeling vocals, cool syths, and great lyrics. If you are looking for something different this is it. Not to be missed.

This CD is a delight from beginning to end. Darkly witty lyrics, complex vocal and instrumental harmonies -- it's all here. I haven't had it off my player since I got it.
