I feel so lucky to have discovered The Sharp Things. There is something very familiar to me about this album, but I can't figure out what it is. I knew I was going to love it when I opened the cd flap and there was this quote from Oscar Wilde: "Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination." I was completly enchanted the first time I heard it and it was the only thing I listened to for a long time after. Each and every song is sparkling, my favorites are Lies About You and I and Lament/A Million Things. I am not even going to try to describe the music because I am not a writer and I could not do this band justice. All I can say is that if you want to hear some magical music *please* buy this cd.

I've had this CD for a few years now and enjoy it more than others. As I get older, I find this style of music more to my liking. There's a moody urban evocation to the lyrics and melodies, that remind me of my visits to NYC; I'm from the South.
