I was still in high school when I saw Barry and Barry performing at the Ice House in Pasadena, CA. They moved on the Troubadour and participated with the New Christy Minstrels early on, while continuing to perform their duet act, as well. My friends and I followed them there and attended their performances really often.

Even with the host of talent led by Randy Sparks and his New Christy Minstrels, the team of Barry Kane and Barry McGuire was simply the best! (and this was Barry McGuire with his deep rich voice at his best). Their music was dynamic, powerful, sweet and dramatic!

The Act eventually disbanded and the LP album went out of print (I have a "signed" copy). I am so amazed and pleased to find it available on CD.

The entire album is quite strong with content. I particularly love "Gold Wedding Ring" and "Land Of Odin" also "Another Man" and "Far Side Of The Hill." Hearing them perform these songs live raised goose bumps... I believe they simply may have been the best team around at that time.

I always enjoyed this album back when it came out in the '60s. I have never been able to find it before. Rare find, digitally remastered!

This CD is fantastic. Barry and Barry were always my favorites when they were with the New Christy Minstrals, and to hear just the two of them together is heaven! I wish I had had this CD sooner. I listen to it often every day.
