This book is amazing. I started reading this book out of curiosity; to find answers to common questions about "the other side." After a few pages, this book satisfied more than just my curiosity, it was a spiritual enrichment I was looking for. I was unable to put it down. I've bought this book for several people, and everyone who read it is amazed. Plus, this book contains the 12-year prayers that St. Brigitte of Sweden received, which contain so many graces.

Excellent and theologically informing documented book. The humble pictures of Maria Simms lends upmost credibility to her stories. How many of us really take seriously Purgatory? How many of us ever get to actually speak to suffering souls on the "other side?" Here is one who did, did not necessarily want to, but was asked to by God and she said "yes," and did so until her death. Upon reading this book, it could only make one want to try harder to cooperate with God's holy will so as to get to Heaven and possibly sidestep Purgatory. God is Mercifull!

This is probably one of the best books on the subject of purgatory. It is very informative, staying truthful to the source and being spiritually satisfying while also appealing to one's intellectual curiosity. It should be noted that the bulk of the work is a documentary of conversations taped between a "seer" and a learned man (who holds a degree in architecture but with no formal journalism training) on the former's, Maria Simma's, many personal experiences with the Holy Souls. Contained also are some words of advice from both Simma, the Holy Souls she had conversed with, and Nicky Eltz the interviewer and author. The presentation is highly objective while boldly directs its reader to matters pertaining life after death for some of us that we better learn about before it is too late. The conversation was well planned and executed, broadly touching on many subjects that are relevant, such as the proper way to receive the communion, death, authenticity of some well publicized private revelations, the authority of the Pope, and many more. Included in the back of the book are some prayers (St. Briget's being one of them, and others for the Holy Souls), the author's (Nicky Eltz's) argument for receiving the holy communion on the tongue while kneeling. A good resource to deepen one's faith and to correct some of our misunderstandings about issues such as the purgatory, the liturgy, etc. for which sometimes we can find little authorative reference in the literature on. The further readings section includes works both for and against the author's views, and is a bit exhausting, which is worth all that it costs to procure the book in the first place. As expressed by another reviewer previously, this book will amaze you. I literally could not put the book down. Definitely worth the effort to buy. In essence, the book is purely spiritual nourishment, and is expected to be read and reread to gain the most from it (for private meditation and prayers, for example). Another point to note that is that the publishing of this title is related to the Medjugorje phenomenon, which is another avenue one should look into if serious about contemporary Catholicism.

In today's world where we think we know so much, one truth is overlooked. Our basic design as humans is we all feel the need to be loved. As children, we show we are open searchers of how things work. Maria Simma is a simple woman in her life, living in an isolated site on an Austrian hillside, earning her meager income plucking feathers from birds as pillow stuffing. Yet, she prays alot, much as her mother showed her. In a world, where we are so unaware of the Spiritual seed planted in all of us, Maria prays alot. And, because of this and her simple wordly nature, Souls visit her to seek help. They all want to finally enter Heaven, but they need some special few deeds done in their favor. How this unfolds and is related in this heart-changing book are tales that change our outlook to life.

An amazing, well written book. Everyone should read this book. It sent chills down my spine and lifted my heart at the same time.

So far nothing from the Vatican on this. However, what is stated in this book there will not be anything negative on this.

this book will help non-believers, depressed souls, death-anxiety persons and believers alike, find the true meaning of our time here on earth. To listen to the signs and symbols around us, to be observant and patient, is what Maria Simma tells us to do in order to help our beloved dead in their time of suffering in purgatory. A remarkable interview of her true testimony of faith that inspires the reader to live a true, more brilliantlly loving life!

How often do you get a chance to ask questions about the mysteries of life. Questions like, What's the point of suffering? And where do we go after we die? Are we really alone? Do our deceased loved ones ever contact us?

With "Get Us Out of Here," author Nicky Eltz, gets to do just that with the late Maria Simma (d. 2004). Maria Simma was recognized to have the charism of seeing and speaking with souls in purgatory. Unlike a psychic who *conjures* up the dead or even diabolical spirits, Simma never asked for or sought out this trait, it was a *gift* from God.

What she says almost seems likee common sense when you read it and it helps things of the spiritual world become more clear and tangible.

Whatever your beliefs, this is well worth the read. There is nothing like it out there!

If this book encourages you or persuades you to follow the Lord Jesus Christ, well then Excellent. The concept of this book is really prayer. Always pray to Jesus Christ. Follow His commandments, and be a good person, and all should go to Heaven. Purgatory can be skipped. But we earthly humans must be good in thoughts, and in actions, as well as praying to Jesus, always.
Jesus is God. maria simma, passed away in 2004.

There is so much information in this book that everyone needs to hear in this day and age! It is soooo interesting! Everyone should have a copy! It will make you a better person for sure!

I used to question whether or not "ghosts" and "hauntings" were real. I've read a lot of books to find answers. This book was a great read that I couldn't put down. It explains what so many people apparently experience and sorts out what some of them could be. Maria shows respect for genuine suffering souls... and caution with evil spirits trying to trick us.
