1.0 out of 5 stars I Returned this worthless rag

1.0 out of 5 stars I Returned this worthless rag, October 26, 2005
This review is from: "I Got Here. You Can Too!" A Masters Course in Becoming a Millionaire (Paperback)
I have read numerous wealth-building books. This one is worthless. It appears to be a hastily written collection of his personal stories which may or may not be applicable to you. He in several instances tells you how to bend the rules precariously, such as moving to other states to avoid bankruptcy and also tells you how to perform deceptive marketing. I have never, honestly never, felt so scammed by a book purchase, and wish I could give negative stars to warn the reader away. [SPAM ALERT I now get 10 to 20 spams a DAY sent to a unique email I used requesting my refund!]

1.0 out of 5 stars TOTAL FRAUD, March 3, 2006
This review is from: "I Got Here. You Can Too!" A Masters Course in Becoming a Millionaire (Paperback)
I happen to know this author from his early escapades, and he was well known among his friends and acquaintances as a greasy con man -- hence his bankruptcy early on. For kicks, I got his book and confirmed that it is as worthless as the man himself. He's a total fraud, and if you want to do worse than waste your money you'll buy his book instead of applying yourself with truly worthwhile business ventures. Buyers beware -- avoid at all costs!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars LIKE AN INFOMERCIAL, October 20, 2005

This review is from: "I Got Here. You Can Too!" A Masters Course in Becoming a Millionaire (Paperback)
This book is an intro to writing business plans filled with examples, but not saying very much.

It's like being able to read the script of an early morning infomercial in your hand and every bit as worthwhile. Some of the stories can be construed entertaining or inspiring, but relying upon Bruce Berman to get you started would be unwise.

1.0 out of 5 stars dont waste money it is free online and worthless, September 28, 2006
This review is from: "I Got Here. You Can Too!" A Masters Course in Becoming a Millionaire (Paperback)
Honestly...dont waste your money. First of all it is free online if you request it from his website and it is worthless. All you will get out of it is learning about how this guy barely finished highschool and made his millions scamming people with a complete lack of information in his books. Oh and he will try to sneak in all his CDs then charge you for them after 30 days. Complete garbage. Coveat Emptor

1.0 out of 5 stars When Will People Stop Falling For This Stuff?, August 28, 2008
This review is from: "I Got Here. You Can Too!" A Masters Course in Becoming a Millionaire (Paperback)
This has got to be one of the worst business/wealth building books I have ever read. Out of boredom, I got this for free off the internet while surfing the web LATE one night. I would never have paid for a book like this. I just want a chance to warn others before they think about purchasing this rag. If you get it for free it does make for nice bonfire kindling if folded properly. Other than that, I cannot think of any good use for this book. Infomercial in a can...and that's where this book belongs.

4.0 out of 5 stars First hand information, from someone that has been there!, October 1, 2003
This review is from: "I Got Here. You Can Too!" A Masters Course in Becoming a Millionaire (Paperback)
Whether it is your first foray into entrepreneurship, or your 101st, this book has the "no nonsense" scoop on what you should do, when you should do it, and who you should think about doing it with!

Berman seems to focus on the simple core necessities, which means that his strategies and guidance can be tailored to your specific entrepreneurial endeavor.

Bruce Berman admits early in the book that he is not "exactly a Harvard grad", and he shares the insights he has gained from his experiences. This helps the reader to understand that your best assets are your good ideas, your persistence and knowing the "right path". The net result is that reading "I got here. You can too!" is as inspiring as it is useful!

4.0 out of 5 stars Thanks for the info, October 4, 2003

I hadn't read a book on business in a few years, and typically find business books a snooze - not the case here. Upon starting my copy of Berman's book, I found it a great read. I read it on the plane then finished it that same night. I'm glad someone took the time to put together a package of their years of business experience into a simple book and program. With the enourmous amount of useful information in the software program I will surely keep coming back for more info and use if for years to come.

4.0 out of 5 stars More than it's about me!, October 3, 2003
By
Cary C Clayton (Newport Beach, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: "I Got Here. You Can Too!" A Masters Course in Becoming a Millionaire (Paperback)
As a friend of the author's I had an early chance to read and look at the support materials associated with, "I got Here. You can too!". I have been down the many paths of wins and losses this book talks about. I am on the plus side and I know what it takes to be there. Purchasing any business guidance book thinking, "reading this will make me a millionaire", is the wrong approach. Wealth and/or financial freedom come with knowledge, work and a faith in the chosen plan and goal. "Think and Grow Rich" can be panned and will be a waste of your time if no continued effort to follow the guidelines is put forth. Read this book, follow the guidelines to make your plan, do the work and then judge its value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hair Style Professional takes it to the next level., February 16, 2005
By
A.D. (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: "I Got Here. You Can Too!" A Masters Course in Becoming a Millionaire (Paperback)
I have been a hair stylist for the last 15 years. Verbally bludgeoned for most of my life by comments like "you will never be more than a shampoo girl", I lacked the confidence to take my business to the next level. A close friend of mine purchased Bruce Berman's book and CD for me after my divorce. I was truly inspired by his story. Reading Bruce's enlightened prose regarding his rise and fall and rise again gave me new hope and an optimistic attitude ... I desperately needed. Finally, someone who was not from a "charmed or privileged home" was finding success. This I could relate to.

By using his companion software to create a business plans, I was able to finally realize my dream. No longer will I be called a "shampoo girl". I now own my own salon and have created a unique industry offering by combining a self-tanning service, as well as make-up consultation. I have more clients' coming in for their special event preparation, than I can handle. I have finally found the confidence and skills to realize my dream. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to take their life to the next level.
