a disappointment,

A quick read, not because of Sarraute's usually complexity, but rather a quickness caused by lack of depth. Still a rather good study of the transient nature of memory, but nowhere near the acheivement that "Tropisms" and "Portrait of a man unknown" Sarruate is my favourite author, but this novel is not recommended unless you are an even bigger fan than I.
