I have been a fan of Jayne Mansfield since 1977.
I found this book last year,from the same publisher,and of ALL the books that I ever read about Jayne (or any other actress,or actor) this one is the VERY WORST.Mispells everywhere,errors;I was wondering if the book was even read before being printed..Just awful..
Let's talk about the ''claims'' of Raymond Strait: The fact they almost got married..You wish !!!.Also he talks about Jayne's parenting skills as nil.I have problems believing this.
Some of the pictures provided are not only of very poor quality,but also show wrong years for them.
This book was obviously written to make a fast buck,and published by a 'not-too-picky' publisher.Also the tone of the book indicates a kind of axe to grind,that i found distasteful.
Conclusion:If you wish to know more about Jayne,get a copy of Martha Saxton (Jayne Mansfield and the American Fifties),or even May Mann's book,because Mr Strait's book is rubbish
