3.0 out of 5 stars High energy and pure fun for young people
How would I describe the music of pureNRG? How about high energy and fun for starters? But it goes deeper than this. They also share their Christian faith and communicate Biblical values to children of all ages without being preachy. But there's more. If you have seen either of their two DVDs, you know that they like to move, as in acrobatics and complex choreography. To...

3.0 out of 5 stars High energy and pure fun for young people, April 30, 2008

How would I describe the music of pureNRG? How about high energy and fun for starters? But it goes deeper than this. They also share their Christian faith and communicate Biblical values to children of all ages without being preachy. But there's more. If you have seen either of their two DVDs, you know that they like to move, as in acrobatics and complex choreography. To say that they dance is an understatement.

Here We Go Again is their second CD. They are teamed once again with Rob Hawkins and Mark Hammond who produced their self-titled debut. The title song opens the recording and is their first single. It's a start-your-day song that through trust in God has a hopeful outlook towards the future. This affirmation of faith in God coupled with practical encouragement is found throughout this release.

One of the best songs is a beautiful cover of Nichole Mullen's "Call on Jesus," which the group plans to perform in concert. Another highlight is a youthful take on Matthew West's hit song, "More." These are excellent versions of two great songs. One of the surprises is a remake of the classic, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." The new arrangement gives it a fresh sound.

On "Like," which looks at the differences between people, and "Girls Can Change the World," a call for girls to unite to make this world a better place, they distinguish themselves with a playful attitude and music to match. It adds up to a fun listen. On the more serious side, "Any Which Way" uses a feel-good vibe to express a desire to let God have His way in one's life.

The song selection, arrangements, production and vocals are all strong. Parents and children have something to cheer about with such a well-made recording.

5.0 out of 5 stars Christian Music Your Tween Will Love, June 22, 2009
This review is from: Here We Go Again (Audio CD)
Know a tween in the Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Lizzie McGuire music phase? She'll also love Pure NRG, and it's great Christian music (performed in the style she loves), written by some of today's top Contemporary Christian artists. High energy, fun, and highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Christian Album, February 8, 2009
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Here We Go Again (Audio CD)
This album is pureNRG's second album. I LOVE IT!!!! This provides children an alternitive (sp?) to todays music. I am a 12 year old boy and listen to this often. It is for anybody who cares about their children. All the songs are upbeat and have uplifting lyrics. All of what pureNRG does is for god and his son jesus christ. Any christian parent should buy this for their children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome sophomore album!, December 7, 2008
This review is from: Here We Go Again (Audio CD)
pureNRG's self-titled debut was a great beginning to their music careers, and they show even more promise with their second album "Here We Go Again". Here's a track-by-track review:

Here We Go Again: 9/10. Great lyrics, good beat, an overall great start to the album.

Any Which Way: 9/10. Another awesome song. Upbeat, catchy, gets stuck in your head easily.

Like: 6/10. This one's okay. The chorus is kind of catchy, but the verses aren't that good and I find myself skipping this one a lot.

Ain't No Mountain High Enough: 7/10. They do a good job with this remake, but still not an outstanding song.

Call on Jesus: 8/10. Awesome chorus, great message, just doesn't stand out very much.

Girls Can Change the World: 8/10. Good song, a little repetitive, but it's still enjoyable to listen to.

Get Up: 5/10. Not very good. Another song that I skip a lot.

BFF: 9/10. Upbeat, great lyrics, awesome music, everything about this song makes me smile.

Inside Out: 10/10. One of the three standout songs on the album. I don't know what it is about this song that stands above the rest, but it does.

That's What Friends Are For: 10/10. Another standout of the album. The message makes me smile, and I didn't even know this was a remake. It's that good. They do an awesome job with it and it's definitely better than the old version.

Are You Ready: 6/10. Another song I'm not really into. Just not my type of song.

More: 10/10. The last of three standout songs. Matthew West did a wonderful job with this song originally and now pureNRG has remade this song amazingly well and has done better than the original. Definitely one of my favorites on the CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Clean, FUN!, September 18, 2008
This review is from: Here We Go Again (Audio CD)
With talent beyond their years, fun faith-filled lyrics, spunk and high "NRG", thirteen year olds Caroline Williams and Carolyne Meyers and fifteen year old Jordan Yates shine as Pure NRG in their sophomore album "Here We Go Again". The title is quite appropriate because of the fact that the trio shows the same talent and dedication as in their self-titled debut album only enhanced with further experience. This isn't just a "teeny-bopper" group, behind their poppy sound and lyrics, their belief of God sure shines through and makes them stand out and become a favorite of parents for their kids to listen to. Good, clean fun, is just what parents want for their kids and what their kids truly need. Personally, I love music that has substance but, is still clean and I'm in my mid-teens. I'm a Christian too naturally making Pure NRG's "Here We Go Again" one of my happiest listening expierences.

This review is from: Here We Go Again (Audio CD)
This is a cool, energetic, and fun cd. Although, not all the songs are Christian, I still enjoyed the album. I haven't heard all of Pure NRG's albums, but I still just like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME CD FOR KIDS AND MOMS, March 2, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Here We Go Again (Audio CD)
This cd is just great to dance to or listen to in the car. All of my kids enjoy singing along and dancing to the music. I know most of the lyrics because they play the cd so often. It is upbeat and displays a good message to kids about God. I just purchased their first cd for my daughter's birthday. I am sure we will enjoy it as well!We also have the
Christmas one.
