Milo Mitchell’s life used to be charmed, but that was before her father died, she went a little crazy, and her best friends started acting more like strangers. One Saturday morning as she roams the land around her family's Colorado wind farm, tagging deer for a project that used to be her father's, Milo makes a big mistake: a dart from her stun-gun takes down a teenage guy.

Dressed in a Brinoi tux and armed with a perfectly starched handkerchief, the guy looks like a young James Bond - or some country's missing, playboy prince. Trouble is, he could be either. Mr. Mystery has no idea who or where he is. Afraid her dart caused his amnesia, Milo takes him in, names him Nick, and tries to get used to a hot guy sharing her bedroom.

But Milo's Nick is more than he appears. Soon the pair find his face in a newspaper obituary, and Nick beings to have memories of Milo—who is sure she’s never met him. If 'Nick' survived a plunge off a steep cliffside on his way to a family camping trip, why did Milo find him dozens of miles away, wearing a freshly pressed tuxedo? If he's just a high-school athlete, why does he have moves like Jason Bourne? And why does he feel more for her than his surviving family?

When a train of black SUVs shows up on Mitchell property, Nick and Milo run—toward a shocking conclusion that could destroy both their worlds.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Read! February 22, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Milo Mitchell lived a charmed life before her father died. Afterwards she began to pull away from her friends and spent every Saturday morning in a treehouse with a tranquilliser gun for company, and a herd of deer for friends. Nothing exciting ever happens until one day she shoots a fawn, and find's she actually had darted a guy. Her victim is dressed in a tux and armed with a hanky. When he comes to, he has no idea who, or where he is. Thinking the sedative had caused the amnesia, Milo takes him home, names him Nick and tries to help him solve the mystery of his identity. Nick begins to have memories of Milo, but Milo is sure they have never met. When the Ministry of Defence shows up, Nick and Milo run. But can they find out the truth and survive a shocking conclusion that could destroy both of their worlds?

Another great story from Ella James! I just loved both Milo and Nick. These characters are sympathetically written and I could relate to them emotionally. The story started slowly, but as it went on, it built to a crescendo and I couldn't stop reading! I was disappointed when it finished, because it kept me on the edge of the seat wondering what was going to happen next! The cliffhanger at the end had my heart pounding in excitement! I absolutely love these kinds of books, but feel frustrated because I want to finish the story NOW! But with it being a trilogy, I guess I will just have to wait for the next installment. *Huffs impatiently*. Ella has written a fantastic adventure/mystery/romance that I thoroughly enjoyed, and I would recommend this book to everyone. If you haven't read any of her books yet, I suggest you do so. Ella is fast becoming one of my favourite authors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read!! February 20, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is great. I could not put it down! I kept wondering what Nick was, and then it didnt even matter! Nick is a great character, as well as Milo. She is such a strong young woman. I know this book was just released, but I'm already wishing the second book were out too! It left at a cliff hanger and I need to read more! Until this sequel is out, I'll be waiting to read Stolen by Ella, which comes out im a couple weeks. Great job, Ella, on another wonderful, interesting, unique book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Left Me Hanging March 14, 2013
By LizL.
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I could not put this book down! I only wish it was longer so that the characters could be fleshed out a bit more. I liked both Milo and Nick and I felt that they truly liked each other, and I only hope that the next book strengthens their relationship and their individual personalities. Milo was a pretty strong female lead, she didn't wine or pine after Nick (other than admitting he was attractive and interesting, to be expected from a teenage girl) and she saved the day more than once. It was worth buying this book, and I will definitely be buying the second in the trilogy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely YA adventure with a little romance February 18, 2013
By Melissa
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is very well written. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Milo. Her sadness and struggles are quickly forgotten when she runs into some bigger problems. I spent at least one night reading until 2:00am because I just couldn't put it down. I am eager to get to book two. This is an excellent series I would definitely put in my classroom for the students to enjoy.

This was an interesting spin on this type of paranormal romance. It was a little slow to start but soon it was building into a story that I had to keep reading. I loved the different point of views, it really helps the reader understand Nick and Milo and what they are going through. I loved the level of mystery! I keep trying to figure out what Nick was, why he was here and what was going on with him and Milo. I loved how protective and caring they are with each other in just a short amount of time. The only thing I did not like and loved at the same time was the ending...Cliffhanger!!! I came to the end and was like what the heck! I was so wrapped up, I want to know what happened next! I can't wait to read book two. Great read. Flowed nicely. Lovable characters. Interesting story. Go read it!

5.0 out of 5 stars This was an easy 5 star review May 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Wow, this was a great story. I wonder how I missed this author but when I got a hold of this book, I found an author that I knew I was going to follow from here on out. I enjoyed her writing style and the flow of this story. Because I don't want to share any spoilers, I'm going to give as little detail as possible, but this story will surprise you of the outcome so you have to read it to find it out yourself.
Milo Mitchell lives in Colorado. Her dad passed away two years ago and she finds herself in the woods doing the things her dad and her would do together. It's like a place of peace to go and spend time with her dad. While out at her tree house one day, she's spotted the deer that she wanted to tag and follow by shooting it with a dart to sedate it and tag it. What she ended up with, was a young man around her age feeling bad and determined to help him.
He didn't remember who he was. What was in that dart he was hit with? He knew everything about everything else, but not who he was or where he was from. While searching for clues, they come across a newspaper article that states he is missing with his picture on it. She's named him Nick but is his name Gabe? He doesn't feel a connection to the name. So who is he really? I found myself so eager for more and this story definitely leaves it open for a sequel. I can't wait to get my hands on it. Thank you Ms. James for a wonderful story that I couldn't put down.
