Great fun music.

I hardly ever like every song on an album but on this one, I not only like every song, I LOVE every song.

This feels a little country, a little rock and I definitely want to dance to this. This album is a good attitude adjustment on a rainy, windy Seattle day. The first song I heard was "Cruise." First I smiled, then I immediately thought of being at the lake and sunshine. I hope to hear more from the Florida Georgia Line.

Florida Georgia Line wouldn't bother me too much if it weren't for a very specific fallacy surrounding them--the idea that they're a country band is just laughable. They are a pop act. Deal with it and stop trying to say that country is "evolving." There's no country, here. A bit of banjo here and there doesn't make something country. These are EDM infused pop songs with horrible misrepresentations of hip hop and 80's rock. Don't get me wrong, this band's songs are catchy, but at this point 4 of their 5 singles have been the exact same song with different titles, with "Get Your Shine On" being the only one that I've been able to tolerate.

My main problem with this band is that Tyler Hubbard, quite frankly, sounds like a dying animal. I'm not sure which, perhaps a moose or elk, but dear God, how does this sound good to you people? The guy sounds like hell and has an incredibly annoying tone to his vocals. Then there's the curious case of Brian Kelly, who might co-write the music but what is he doing up there if he doesn't get to do anything but harmonize? This ain't a duo. It's Tyler Hubbard and his one man entourage.

And what the hell is a song with a "z" replacing an "s" in the title doing on a supposedly "country" record. I just don't get it. I understand that what's popular on country radio now is EDM infused pop with '80s rock influence, but why, why, why does it have to try and tell me that it's country music when it, quite frankly, isn't? There isn't even an argument calling this country that holds water. It's just garbage. One frat party song after another with the random inclusion of a Black Stone Cherry cover that actually isn't half bad (but yet again, Tyler Hubbard's voice ruins it). At one point, music fans wanted substance.
