A Wonderful Album!,
By Tarun David (New Delhi, India) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Here's To Being Here (Audio CD)
Not believing there's been any good music in the last many years, I've missed out on so much good music for sure. This I'm very glad I caught. I'd say it's the best album I've heard this year!
Some songs that stick out: 1. Roll on Oblivion, the first song, sets out the very pleasing tone of the album. Very simple but very good! 2. Sorry Lori, the song after, reminds me a lot of the very very early Wings, when it was basically McCartney and his wife. Considering I think a lot of their music was very underrated, this is high praise! Again, a very pleasant song with a lovely simple melody. 3. Out of Time, similarly wonderful! I dare you to not not sing along to the chorus! It's impossible! 4. Papercut hearts, this song I think comes daringly close of a Tom Petty style, except I think it's nicer than practically all of Petty's songs. The album's gems in my opinion are heavily front loaded but there isn't a dud on the album in my opinion. Have your pick of good or exceedingly good songs here! |
