Book Description

It’s a classic love story: Girl meets balance beam. Girl trades long skirts for leotards. The rest, as Hillel once wisely said, is commentary.

5.0 out of 5 stars delightful August 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Well-written, engaging, colorful, bounces along -- like a gymnastics performance! Meyer skillfully intertwines growing up Orthodox in a single-parent home and being passionate about her sport. She deftly explains all three to us "civilians". *kol haKavód* כל הכבוד!

I do wish there were a way to award 4.5 stars, because despite Meyer's praise for her editor, there were typos and sentences that could've read more smoothly. Meyer, I'll gladly edit your next book [I'm a professional editor]!

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny, Squirmingly Honest May 26, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have already quoted one of the early lines numerous times and it continues to make my friends and me laugh. The book goes on to address more serious and personal issues -- hence the squirmingly honest. I swallowed it whole and quickly.
