Editorial Reviews

Review

"This volume succeeds at an almost impossible task (a review of over two millennia of Chinese history and culture (chiefly premodern) in thirteen substantial essays. . . . The result is a collection that will surely challenge serious-minded undergraduates and engage their instructors as well." -- Journal of Asian Studies --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
