Editorial Reviews

Review

"This volume succeeds at an almost impossible task--a review of over two millennia of Chinese history and culture (chiefly premodern) in thirteen substantial essays. . . . The result is a collection that will surely challenge serious-minded undergraduates and engage their instructors as well."--"Journal of Asian Studies

this book compared to others is more difficult to read during certain chapters. you kind of dread to read more haha. but sometimes it isnt that bad. there is a lot of good information in here that i used for my papers. i would also recommend mountain of fame by john E wills jr.
