5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD!
This greatest hits collection is a nice overview of Jermaine's work from the late '70s, through to the early '90s. There are some great upbeat dance tracks along with some slow jams. The only downside to this collection is that it doesn't include "When the rain begins to fall", a duet that he did with Pia Zadora back in 1983/84. This doesn't take away from...

1.0 out of 5 stars DATED HERITAGE.
Jermaine is a stronger vocalist than his famous androgynous brother is. However, the bulk of the material from JERMAINE's musical catalogue is much weaker than that of his brother Michael.

That's the main problem with this product....the track listing! The songs now sound dated. Honestly the material never registered a major impact on the pop, Dance or R/B charts. The...

This doesn't take away from the other classics like "Do what you do", and "Dynamite". I seemed to have a few singles of Jermaine's from back in the day, so it's nice to have his songs on CD to enjoy for a long time. There are other greatest hit collections out there, but I opted for this one because it was released by Arista, which was one of 3 labels that Jermaine was signed with. It sounds clear & clean, not screechy like some other older recordings converted to CD do. If you like some great r&b, then Jermaine Jackson's "Heritage Collection" will hit the spot!

Jermaine Jackson is a great musician. He actually has musical abilities that surpass his brother Michael's. You should get this album. You will like it.

That's the main problem with this product....the track listing! The songs now sound dated. Honestly the material never registered a major impact on the pop, Dance or R/B charts. The songs are timid and dull when played back years after they charted. If you need to take a trip down R/B memory lane, save your money and purchase any package from the strong catalogue of PRINCE.

I bought this album because I love the song "Do What You Do". It's a great tune about a love gone wrong. I recently sent it to my ex-girlfriend, maybe she'll come over and make love to me because of it. If she doesn, Thanks Jermaine!
