They work perfectly for the purpose I bought them. I have an expensive couch in which tiny loops of golden (very visible and ugly!) thread keeps popping out. Despite being expensive, I think the fabric was poorly made. Anyway, I wasn't able to cleanly remove the threads with regular scissors. These snippers worked like a charm, I am able to make almost microscopic cuts no problem. I can't comment on how they compare to other sewing scissors, since I've never owned a pair.

These arrived quickly and exactly as advertised. However, as a product, I had trouble with them not snipping cleanly. They seemed almost to not be aligned correctly. They felt very sharp, but they cut as if they were not quite sharp enough all the way down the blade. I had to keep the cut at the end of the scissors. While they were easier on my hands than traditional scissors for a project with many cuts (a rag quilt), they were frustrating to work with because I had to be so careful about lining up the blade with the area I needed to cut.

These are great for getting reasonably close on applique but need a stronger scissor when trimming fabric with thick batting in between two fabrics like all in the hoop projects. I did buy a couple pair because these scissors let you get in small places and are very sharp. Nice product.
