I first bought this product at my local natural food store; I wanted a vegetable based glycerin to use in lotions, and cosmetics that I enjoy making myself. I didn't want regular drug store variety glycerin because wanted the glycerin to be a food grade glycerin, and this product is just that. Food grade glycerin is important to me for several reasons; one reason is if I should put a small amount in lip balms, I want to be able to lick my lips and not ingest toxic petroleum based chemicals. I can also use it for dry mouth; it has a light sweet taste, and after I brush my teeth, my mouth dries out so this really helps with that. Some people use it as a sweetener, I haven't tried that yet, but it is sweet, I don't see why that wouldn't work. I find the price to be reasonable through Amazon, better than the natural food store price. So if you like to make your own cosmetics in a more natural way, as I do, this is a staple for that.

I bought this product after reading reviews about vegetable glycerine for natural hair care. I also happen to have eczema lately, my regular facial moisturizer hasn't been enough to combat dryness. I started adding a drop of this to the dime-sized amount of moisturizer I normally use and voila! It worked like a charm. I am not sure I would use it during the warmer months but in the winter when dry skin is a big problem, this was a lifesaver.

My new growth has never been this manageable. I am a natural and my only complaint about being natural is the new growth is so horrible my beautiful 4b curls was sitting on naps but then I got introduced to GLYCERIN!!!!! I just add it to the rest of my daily stuff in my spray bottle and my hair has never had this much shine bounce softness and it's immediate. Love at first use!!!

It's okay... different strokes; for different folks. I didn't like the way it made my hair feel. My hair had a weird oily feeling to it. Once it dried it was dry and flaky. It didn't lock in moisture for my thick coarse 4/B hair. My hair gulps moisture and this was just not helping. I don't plan on buying it again.

I used the vegetable glycerin as an additive to my h2o solution for my natural afro-textured hair. It works well to add the extra "umf" to lock in moisture. Glyercin --among other common kitchen ingredients, like honey-- can be used to lock in moisture to hair when diluted in water. Using a spray bottle to mist, I use this mixture in my hair before using my usual hair products if I want added moisture.

We use this along with a q-tip to clean our babies tongue when she has a white residue after drinking formula. It works well enough with some pressure and she seems to like the taste.

I use this product in my homemade cream and I love how it makes the consistency so smooth. It's a great product and with 4 ounces it should last me a long time.
