An Accidental Hero--the 'hermit crab' is the Forest Gump of the undersea world. Brilliant in the most understated terms, this story is sure to please both parent and child.

The book is lavishly illustrated in gorgeous color and rich detail. Yet the story is disarmingly simple, pristine even. As a collector of children's books, this is a prize! And by all accounts, the children love it. My young nieces have been enchanted, and at their neighborhood bookstore, it is a favorite at story time.

The Hermit Crab gives any reader, at any age, much to think about, and leaves us with a smile. Author and illustrator Carter Goodrich (of Ratatouille fame) has created a gem of lasting value.

My 5 year old and my 9 year old both loved this book. Also great as a gift.

We own hundreds and hundreds of children's books, and this one is in my top five. It's funny and poignant and simple and complex all at once. The illustrations are charming, the story is darling, even the font is engaging - I'm not kidding! Honestly, one of our favorites. Very sweet, meaningful book.
