The only problem I didn't like is parts are not available at local hobby shops.

It seems to be as durable as any other helicopters in it's class as I have crashed it several times and it usually does not break.

The gyro does not function correctly, and so the helicopter always turns as you increase or decrease the throttle.

The first thing that should come to mind while looking at this product is "you get what you pay for". When I first came across this Heli on xheli's website I thought I had found a perfect little durable heli to practice flying around a 4ch heli; I was wrong. Sure, this heli would make a pretty cool gift for that little guy in your life what wants something fun, and a bit of a challenge, but for someone who really wants to get into the hobby this is a poor purchase. The reason for this being that the mechanics in it are a very cheap copy of something that is actually very intricate and complex, for example the different cyclic motions. On a standard hobby heli they use actual servos to achieve the cyclic movement, in this heli they use two small motors that turn gears to create a screw effect to move the lever up and down, making for a slower responding heli, but that you can get over for a 30$ 4ch toy. The thing that really makes this a poor decision to buy for the serious heli flyer, is the gyro. This copter uses a terrible gyro that overpowers the tail rotor on a regular basis, causing the heli to spin out of control. Like I said, this would make a pretty cool toy for a kid, but not for the serious buyer. If you're looking for a good 4ch single rotor indoor heli, please look into buying the blade msr. It's a bit spendy at right about $110, but it's a much more effective learning tool.

I just received this heli today as a gift for my son and its just like the pictured unit. Being so inexpensive I kept expecting something to be wrong with it.

At first I thought the transmitter didnt work because I put 4 batteries in the back without realizing 2 go in the handles for a total of 6 batteries (directions!! I know). Once I put them all in the LED came on when switched on. I charged the battery for the heli on a computer and it took less than 20 minutes.

When I powerd the heli on everything worked fine. Once I did a quick spin up test I was in the air. I did note I had to put in a fair amount of trim adjustments to keep it level and stop any rotation. (not unusual for something like this)

As the power in the battery dropped I had to change the trims a bit.

The only thing I can say is that if you cut the power to zero instantly it will spin because the tail rotor stops spinning as well no longer countering the main blade spin. This is physics really, not a flaw, when you cut power to the blades they are off!

All in all a nice inexpensive purchase for a kid to learn on and if it gets broken at least you didnt break the bank too.
It even comes with spare main blades, tail rotors and I think a tail fin too!

You can't beat the price of this fixed pitch heli. The only problem I didn't like is parts are not available at local hobby shops.

I wanted to move from coaxial (twin bladed) beginner heli but wasn't sure I would like how a fixed pitch heli would fly.

I couldn't find much info or videos on this particular model, but decided to try because of low price.

I've had it about 6 months now. I've crashed about 6-7 times pretty good with no damage. Nice that does come with extra set of blades, main and tail. Once trimmed in I can take my hands off transmitter and she just hovers nicely.

I like this one so much I decided to get an Blade MSR fixed pitch heli. Very similar but Blade does cost more, but I can get parts locally if needed. and the MSR is build a little better. Plus I wasn't able to bind this to the transmitters that I could bind my Blade products to.

Also if you want to use say Eflite 150mah battery you can, but have to install it upside down from other products from Blade. Usually you install it red dot to red dot, but again with the Hero H995 it's opposite. Not a big deal.

Over all this is a Great Fixed pitch heli, and well worth the price.

I've been a heli flier for a few years and found the H995 to be decent for INDOOR use when weather does not permit flying my larger helis outside.

Some people have rated these poorly due to control response and difficulty to fly. I highly recommend that you read the instructions before flying since there are 2 distinct flying modes - Beginner, and "Advanced". Advanced, as the name implies, offers higher control inputs for greater speed and maneuverability.

You get what you pay for. For $20, you get a decent heli made entirely of plastic. If you want metal parts and servo-driven swash plates, you need to consider a higher-caliber Heli.

NOTE: Some resellers on this site are selling this at nearly 4x the retail price. This heli is typically offered in the $20 range, plus S&H. Do your research and make sure you're paying the right price for this item.

Purchased this as backup heli. It was cheaper than buying replacement parts. First heli had and still has serious control problems.

I have purchased two of this model of RC Helicopter. It was the first fixed pitch RC that I flew after first learning on the Syma S107.

As others have pointed out if you pay more than $30.00 for this than you have paid too much. It is old tech and the V911 is a far better Helicopter. Worth getting however if you catch it for a low price.

Aside from the price point this can be a fun little FP helicopter if flown on a wind-free day in a park. It seems to be as durable as any other helicopters in it's class as I have crashed it several times and it usually does not break.
