Author:Marhta Attema.
This book is about a boy named Izaak. During the last winter of the World War П, Izaak is forced to change his name to Jan and leave his hiding place in Amsterdam. His mother cannot come with him. He was already forced to move out of the only home he had only known and now he was being forced to live on a farm away from his mother, sister and father. He is taken by a girl, Els who is only 18 years old and a bike courier to live on a farm. They travel to a farm in the northern part of the Neverlands.
Although the people are very kind he still misses his whole family. Then he meets a beautiful black horse named Hero. Hero is a Frisian stallion who is wanted by the Germans like Jan (Izaak). When the Germans come from the horse, Izaak must think of some way to hide Hero. Will he come up with a plan? Find out by reading this amazing book about a boy who makes friends with a horse.
