I first heard of 4ft fingers about 2 yrs ago. Then i saw them live at a local skate fest. They kicked [tail]! Definately the highlight of my day! Ive just come back from a gig of theirs at a local bar-again, they were excellent. I recomend this cd to any punk fan, 4ft fingers got something for everyone. And if you do not get this cd, see them live! and if you dont see them live, then your missing out! Fast paced, sing-a-long, melodic, angry/happy kick [behind] punk rock, check them out!!!!!

A good album,

I've seen 4FT FINGERS play a couple of times before and whilst I thought they were good I haven't been overly impressed - So I was pleasantly surprised when I hit the play button. The first song -"Proud to know you" hits the ground running, well in fact, head down .... legging it! Tight as .... guitars, nice layers, great melodies all combine to make this a bit of a stormer. As I progressed through the album I thought that the Fingers don't present anything overly new or inventive, but I don't think that was their aim. But they do what they do very well indeed! If you're into your U.S Influenced Skate punk the you could possibly do no better than to check this lot out! Each song powers along with more energy than a child filled with an E number and tartrazine milkshake. Some recent reviews I've read say that they have had the "pit going wild" and its not hard to see how -these are the kind of songs that would have the Audience killing each other down the front! Highlights for me were opener "Proud to know you" "Last Man Standing" and "Doubt It". My only problem with it is that I feel some of the stuff is a bit disposable and songs like "Busted" don't help, that and a few bits seem directly borrowed form the back catalogue of NOFX. But overall it's a good album, not my usual cup of tea but as I said I was pleasantly surprised, at some points it really does .... rock and I certainly cant wait to see them live again, although as I'm getting on a bit I don't think I'll risk it too near the front.
