Heroscape is in a league alone as a game, and the desire for more and more expansions is hard to stifle. This is an excellent expansion (Heroscape is quite consistently excellent in the quality of their units, especially given the currently lower relative cost to many similar games), though of the many expansions available this is not one of my all-time favorites.
The Orcs are a flexible and powerful team to field and these pack some extra punch over earlier orc expansions; the Shades, however, are fairly costly for a special ability that has, in my experience, just not enough chance of working out to offset paying off their point cost.
I do have two of these expansions and use the units--they are excellent and fun--just not one of my top choices.

This product is as advertised--a new addition to a long line of collectible tactical play figurines. The simple game mechanics and rules provides a quick enuff learning curve to provide younger players an introduction to table top wargaming with out the grognard complexity of other game systems.
