Entertaining Book, November 1, 2004
This review is from: Heroes Don't Run (Paperback)
Heroes Don't Run is an amazing first effort for Jonathan Howe. The book is an easy read, but touches on many challenges we all face in life. Mr. Howe is able to stir emotions in the reader as well as transfer the reader to a different time and place. I picked the book up and couldn't put it down until I had finished it.
For anyone interested in examining the challenges and trials faced by those pioneers that have gone before us, this is a great fictional book that brings those experiences to life.
I highly recommend this book by Jonathan to any young reader with the hope that the author will write more.

This is a great book!!!! Must read!!!, October 13, 2004
This review is from: Heroes Don't Run (Paperback)
One cannot believe that this book is a first time effort at writing a novel for Jonathan Howe! He writes like a pro!
This book is very fast-paced with a lot of action. You never get bored reading it. The characters are not bland and they're always up to something.
I was shocked by the incident that causes Duncan to leave his girlfriend, but in the end he gets the girl and gains his self-respect.
I definately recommend this book to anyone over the age of 13 who enjoys a good western. This book was written for a teenaged audience, though I think anyone would enjoy it.
Buy it and read it. You won't be disappointed!
