5.0 out of 5 stars BANGERS ALL THE WAY THROUGH April 2, 2011
Format:Audio CD
Where do I start with this album... Like a G is one of the cleanest, sickest beats I've ever heard from ZIon I. I've been a fan of Zion I & The Grouch since Silly Puddy, so I had high expectations. This album DEFINITELY met them and set them even higher! Zion I & Grouch are a CLASSIC COMBINATION. Some of my favorites are Plead the 5th -Zumbi spits one of the sickest verses I ever heard from him and Fashawn always Spits Fire! They prove to be two of the most underrated MC's in the game today. Test of Time is another personal fav, along with Victorious People. I didn't expect much from Freeway, but I guess Zion I & Grouch made him step his game up, cuz even he managed to squeeze out a conscious flow much different from his usual mainstream senseless rap lyrics. Loved Grouch on "Used to be Vegan"... hella funny! If you're looking for one of the best hip hop albums of 2011, look no further! ADD THIS ONE TO THE COLLECTION!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy Birthday to me! March 22, 2011
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
March 24 is my B-Day. I couldn't ask for a better gift, than the gift of music and positive lyrics. I love the way these three minds work together. This is what real music is about. This is what the NATION needs....the WORLD. Thank you Z&G

5.0 out of 5 stars Amp Live creates a monster June 14, 2011
Format:Audio CD
Oakland CA's Zion I are a mindblowing hiphop ensemble. MC Zumbi teams up with fellow Bay Area indie legend Grouch to spit earnest, acrobatic and funky rhymes all over Amp's unique beeping, bass heavy blend of hiphop and electronica. This album sounds wonderful. The songs are topical and inspirational in these tough times and thats what makes this album a potential classic. However Amp Live deserves more props because the brother has a dynamic sound. Jason Moss, who's worked with Mac Dre and other Bay legends handled the mix down wonderfully. Positive and enjoyable rap music, You cant keep saying it does'nt exist!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice album that further solidifies legacies... April 21, 2011
Format:Audio CD
This is a very solid relief and fans of Zion and Grouch should purchase without fear... These folks have great chemistry together and their message is always worth listening to... I like Heroes in the City of Dope slightly better but that is no knock on this album, as this destroys everything available in the industry. Strangely enough the handful of curses on this album are edited out... don't know if this was done purposely... All in all, this is a nice album with nice lyrics and nice production.
