5.0 out of 5 stars Viva King Salamon!
I just love Jeru's lyrics which are the wisest in hip hop. The beats are mostly dope, and the Prphet's flow is perfect. I really recommend this one for the wise who like the deep content.

3.0 out of 5 stars I love Jeru but I got to be honest
I have been a Jeru fan since he appeared on Ganstarr's cut "WHO'S THE MAN" I love 6 out of the 14 cuts on this album, ehich are "Great Solar Stance", "Verbal Battle", "Presha", "Blak Luv", "What a Day" and "99.9 Pa Cent". I knew that Primo did not do anything on the album, so I expected not to hear...

This album is off the wall. Jeru production for this album is mind blowing. If you a true fan or seen Jeru in person you would understand what I'm saying about this album. The diva on the album is the best I ever heard so far. So true follower I would rock it. peace!

Jeru represents true hip hop at it's rawest, and most real form. He is a savior and the prophet who will show us true hip hop music. It is mandatory that this album CANNOT be ignored or under estimated. Jeru show us his talent on his own, with special guest mizmarvel, who tears it up. Some people say that this is not jeru's best. For the simple fact that everyone is use to jeru rhyming over a DJ primo beat disguised in bells and repeating drum patterns. Although Primo is still dope, jeru took it to another level. Now i'll say this....JERU, I hire you ,my hero! Please save hip hop! -MyNtRiC2000* -(one more thing) i've been waiting for this album for a long time, and he DID NOT disappoint Me! PEACE!

If you're looking for Premier, then go and get a GANGSTARR album. The beats on this album are rare, fresh, and innovative. The lyrics need no comment--if you've heard Jeru before than you know that he's on a level that, for some reason, are only appreciated by a few. Miss Marvel is, without a doubt, one of the top 5 females I've ever heard. Those that think she needs to work the "kinks out", obviously are not listening to the lyrics.

I knew that Primo did not do anything on the album, so I expected not to hear what I was used to hearing beat wise on this album. I listened openly and accepted that the beats were cool but could have been better. His production needs work. Jeru could have enlisted the help of many of the up & coming Dj's/producer's that exist in Hip-Hop today to aid in this album. I read a review that it will grow on you and it has grown on me. I'm proud to see Jeru doning his thing on his own thing. I miss the Jeru and Afu Ra team ups. NOW THAT IS A SUPAHUMAN KLIK !!!!!!! He also does alot more cursing on this album than he has done in the past. Don't mind the cursing but don't go into overkill with it like on "Bicthez Wit Dikz". That same Jeru vibe is still there, he will never lose anything in that department. He's one of the illest MC's to date. Once he works out the kinks, he will shine even more glorious than he did before. I like Miz Marvel to a point. She starts to sound redundant. But she has the ability to reck shop once she works out her kinks. In my final opinion, this album was a learning experience for both Jeru and Miz Marvel. The next album, I know will be BANGIN', due to the fact that Jeru is always looking to out due his previous work and learn from his mistakes. So for all who have lost hope don't, because this only the beginning, a test and it will only get better. Knowing Jeru, I will most definitely put anything on it. Remember... you can't stop the prophet!!!!!! Peace and Blessings

4.0 out of 5 stars Theres no way you can call this a weak album, December 16, 2005
This review is from: Heroz4hire (Audio CD)
How can you even say that this album is weak, especailly with tracks like 5, 6, 7, especailly 9, and 10. I haven't listened to Jeru's other albums, but I know this stuff is good.

as always jeru damages any one who tries to compete. this album has bangin tracks. for anyone who likes underground or is faithful to it this cd is a must. with his dope style jeru will teach you and broaden your views. people need to hear more of him so maybe they will smartin the (...) up. Ya Playin Yourself is definately a banger in my cd player along with many other tracks on this cd. if you like gangstarr youll like jeru. he never fails to amaze me. (...) oh that is hot. he is one of the most complex thought out lyricists out just like guru and afu ra. if you like lyrics with some meaning and just plain raw talent jeru is your man.

I have been waiting for two LONG years from a return of my favorite MC. Who shows the real with his dope production, mizmarvel is slammin, and this album is not to be ignored. People say it's not his best work, but "they" say this because the are use to DJ primo's repeating beats which are usual dressed in bells and the same old drum pattern. Jeru is keeping it real, maintaining, and showed everyone his talent in the studio...jeru keep up the dope joints.....SAVE HIP HOP cause it's DYING! -Definitely one of the phattest hip hop LPs i've ever experienced in a long time! one love....

3.0 out of 5 stars Have Mental Stamina when listening to this, June 1, 2001

This review is from: Heroz4hire (Audio CD)
Jeru embarks on his first solo LP without the Mighty Primo and he does better than expected producing his own songs. He hooks it up with mellow keys and hard BK basslines that call to mind Not Your Average from his second album. He intros Lady MC,Miz Marvel who even outflows the host on a couple of tunes. This is still East Coast hiphop with an ear for knowledgeable quotes like his other joints. The best of this bunch is Bi%c& with Di(_s(features Lil Dap of Group Home), 99.9%, and Seinfeld.
