3.0 out of 5 stars It should be re-released to remember those lost forever!, September 2, 2009
This review is from: He's Able (Audio CD)
Believe it or not, the People's Temple choir had gifted singers like Deanna Wilkinson who entertained Congressman Leo Ryan and the Press the night before they would all die in Jonestown. The People's Temple had sung some beautiful gospel songs. The sadness is the fact that this compact disc also includes the forty minute taped recording of the final white night which Jones called it as the revolutionary suicide. Still thirty years later, their deaths are still stained by his vanity, conceit, and loss. Only 16 people defected and 9 defectors left in the Guyanese jungle that morning, so only 25 of about 900 left Jonestown. There were others who were in Georgetown, Guyana but they mostly survived except their right hand woman, Sharon Amos Harris, who was a devout and killed her three children before killing herself. Four people dead in Georgetown, Five people dead on the Port Kaituma Airstrip, and over 900 in Jonestown. Their music is really beautiful and the sadness is that they didn't get appreciated in life nor in death.

Unfortunately, the compact disc can costs hundreds of dollars on ebay. I was lucky to get it for $99.00 from Israel plus shipping and handling. I recommend this compact disc for Jonestown researchers and those interested in hearing more about the People's Temple's than their final act.
