More About the Author

I wanted to write a book about mothers and daughters because it is a subject that's important to both people. Daughters want to look at the role their mom has played in their adult life and mothers want to know how to raise their daughters in the best possible light. It's a subject that always comes up with both clients and friends, sometimes with humor and sometimes not. I am so happy to share this information with my readers and hope this sheds some light on this relationship.

When I'm not in my office or writing I'm at the dance studio doing either Broadway Jazz or Rhythm Ballroom which I do competitively. It's a great way to get into my body after all the mental work. I also have a wonderful son and granddaughter who I love spending time with. We can have serious talks and we can also giggle with the best of them. I live in Sacramento, California and like this city I've lived in since I was ten.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best How-To for Changing How You Choose a Mate, March 16, 2010
This review is from: Oh No! He's Just Like My Father: Escape the parent trap and have the relationship YOU want (Paperback)
This book is not your normal "How to Choose Better" self-help book. Ms. Reishus takes current relationship coaching strategies into a very readable and understandable format.

Despite the pop title and in-your-face cover graphics, the inside is pure gold. If you want to understand why you're attracted to certain Mr. Wrongs or Almosts, and want to know why you keep ending up in unhealthy relationships, this book is a must read.

I started a local self-help group of single women in my town based on the message inside this very book. No longer are we blindly trying to find a Mr. Right. We use the information in this book to identify where our weaknesses are in our "picking" process.

If you want to stop your negative relationship patterns, you should definitely pick up a copy of this book. All ours are dog-eared.
