"I applaud the author's determination and willingness to `think outside the box' when mainstream medicine continually failed her sick child. By trusting her own powerful maternal instincts when the advice of so many experts didn't feel right, she persevered and finally discovered the simple solution that empowered herself and cured her son. Her thorough and groundbreaking research of the dangers of aluminum and the benefits of energy testing and releasing will no doubt help countless others in the future."

Inspiring Account of a Mother's Struggle Against Illness
The word "autism" has been making headlines more and more in recent years. The American Academy of Pediatrics defines autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) as "a group of developmental disabilities caused by unusual brain development that begin during childhood and last throughout a person's life." According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in 166 children is born with autism. Boys outnumber girls 4 to 1. These frightening facts become terrifying to parents when a doctor brings up the word "autism" in reference to their child.
Tenna Merchent knows this feeling firsthand. "When my son's doctor said `a child like your son who is at risk for autism,'" she says, "I felt like he had hit me in the stomach with a baseball bat. I had feared autism since he started banging his head at age one. To hear the word `autism' come out of a doctor's mouth when I hadn't brought it up was terrifying. I was scared stiff." For Merchent, the author of He's Not Autistic, But...How We Pulled Our Son From the Mouth of the Abyss, this meant the beginning of a nightmare for her and her son.
It all began soon after the joyous occasion of Merchent's son Clay's birth. After struggling with infertility, Merchent was overjoyed when she finally became pregnant. And even though she became quite sick with pre-eclampsia, the birth of her son was one of the happiest days of her life. Unfortunately, she continued to suffer poor health--and so did Clay. In fact, she recalls, there wasn't a week that went by when she or Clay didn't see a doctor or healthcare practitioner. When Clay was just a year old, he began head banging and toe walking, and Merchent feared the worst: autism.
After trying every approach modern medicine could offer--none of which helped and in fact only seemed to make her son more ill--she turned to the alternative health community. Initially, there was no change. "One after another, the alternative practitioners told me they could help us," Merchent says, "but they did little more than sell us supplements and make promises. Ultimately, nothing seemed to help." She explains that the only reason they continued down this path was because at least these remedies weren't making either of them worse.
Eventually, Merchent found the help she and Clay so badly needed with a master herbalist. She was shocked to learn that Clay was born with the same ailment she had: aluminum. His illness, however, was greatly exacerbated by the vaccines he was given. But through her studies with the master herbalist, Merchent was able to cure herself and her son through the art of releasing. Clay has made a full recovery, and Merchent herself no longer suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome, Epstein-Barr, yeast, and infertility. "I am now able to treat myself, my family, and my friends," says Merchent. "I am no longer helpless against illness; I am now empowered to care for myself and others as God intended."

Stirring Story Describes Path to Healing
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in 166 children is born with autism. Tenna Merchent is only too familiar with this frightening statistic as she feared her own son might suffer from this devastating disorder.
When her son was born, he seemed healthy. But by the time he was six weeks old, the infant cried for hours each evening if he wasn't constantly nursed. As the months went on, Clay frequently was seriously ill. By the time he was two years old, he could say only a few words, would bang his head for no apparent reason, often walked on his toes, was severely allergic to numerous things, constantly sick, and suffered from nose and chest congestion. He had systemic yeast, was terrified by sudden noises, wouldn't sleep for more than two hours straight, and was unhappy most of the time. All of his symptoms pointed to the possibility of autism. And to make matters worse, Merchent herself became seriously ill.
This book is the moving story of Merchent's remarkable persistence and relentless search for answers and the cure for her son's illness. The book describes her journey through traditional medicine, then the move to alternative care. The miracles begin when she discovers a master herbalist who reveals to her the primary cause of their ill health: aluminum. The simplicity of fully curing both herself and her son is astounding, and she illustrates the art of releasing in detail here. Also included is an invaluable list of remedies for common ailments, as well as a section on resources for herbs and homeopathies.
