I also came across this on Pandora, "The Lazy Librarian's Son" sold me immediately. Hesitation Eyes sounds like someone made you a great mix cd from some of your favorite artists (from Pavement and Wilco to the Beach Boys). The first track actually sounds like it should be a Pavement cover. Call it ripping off if you will but I don't even care because the album is that good. Apparently physically owning the cd has become quite rare and I was lucky enough to get a used copy for 20 bux. It's for sale here now at $60 to $100+!! Crazy talk. I like to own the cd, but $5-$6 for the mp3 album is very worth it. Buy it now!

This group/duo? has such a unique style and sound - I heard them on Pandora (God bless Pandora for finding music I'd otherwise never know about!)and ordered the CD from Amazon. I'm not a qualified music critic, but a listener who appreciates musicians who follow their hearts and record what they feel - not just what every other band is doing at the time. You won't hear this music on most radio stations because it's too "different", but that difference is why it's good. It's totally innovative and obviously personal, and thoroughly cool. I really like these guys!

Great new record from a not-so-new band,
This review is from: Hesitation Eyes (Audio CD)
This is the Foxymorons' third album to date, but is likely the first most have heard of. David Dewese and Jerry James are an excellent songwriting match, and their styles meld together smoothly enough for them to systematically trade songwriting/lead vocal duties on every track but still keep the flow moving (and the sonic direction consistent). Some are catchier than others, but there's not a bad song on the disc...sounds great on first listen, and only gets better as you get used to it. Highly recommended!
