About the Author
Dick Heuser and his wife were antique dealers for more than twenty years, when they discovered the joys of accumulating and selling collectible toys. After several years as hobbyists, Richard decided to share his passion and knowledge by becoming an Ertl toy dealer. He started sending his customers price lists, which contained full descriptions of his products. Soon dealers were asking Dick for extra copies of the price list to give to their customers. They urged him to expand his price list into an accurate Ertl bank price guide. The first issue of "Heuser's Quarterly Price Guide" was published in February 1989. One year later he added his other publication, "Heuser's Quarterly Collectible Bank Newsletter." Since then he has further expanded the Price Guide to include the diecasts marketed by First Gear(r), Georgia Marketing(r), Gearbox(r), Liberty Classics(r), SpecCast(r), Crown Premium/Vees Collectibles(r), Arch(r) and Scale Models div. of J.L. Ertl(r). His copyrighted price guide is accepted as an authority by insurance companies throughout the United States and Canada. Dick is frequently consulted when losses occur as a result of fire, flood, theft and most of the manufacturers refer their customers to Dick when product information is requested.

This guide is a must for any bank collector. It covers Ertl, First Gear, Spec Cast (aka Liberty), JLE Scale Models and a few others.It is very informative with stock numbers, correct colors, # of banks issued, year of issue and approximate US & Canadian values. Do not buy or sell another bank without checking this guide out first! You may be sorry.
