The Hewlett-Packard 9510i is a powerful internal IDE CD-rewritable drive for writing and rewriting CDs fast. With a 12x maximum write speed, 8x rewrite speed, and 32x read speed, this drive lets you save your files to CD quickly and cost effectively. Compatible with large-capacity, 80-minute CDs, this drive comes with CD creation and backup software so you can create reliable custom CDs for music, photos, and data; back up and protect individual files or folders; or restore your whole hard drive.

This drive comes with everything you need to get started: IDE and audio cables, high-speed blank CD-R and CD-RW discs, and software.

This burner is amazing! It came with pretty good instructions and had great software. It could have used a little bit more instructions on using the software, but still great! It burns as fast as 12x on regular cd-r's which is awesome! But you must have a Cd-r of all speeds or up to 12x speed or else you can only burn on 8x! But anyways! I give this thing 5 stars because it performs to my needs and is fast!

I've always been partial to HP products (except for their consumer PCs) and this drive just confirms my opinion of them. Easy to install, with very clear directions, and a good software package. Specific directions are provided for installing alongside an existing cd-rom drive, which I did. It was up and running in no time, and with none of the horror stories I hear from friends who have purchased cheaper brands. I've been using it for several months now with no problems. Copying cd's is a breeze, backing up data files is no problem. There may be some people out there who need more sophisticated software, but must should do just fine with what is provided.

Easy to install, easy to use with the software included. I am a beginner when it comes to computer's and the operation of same. I usually have to call on my computer guru to help (actually do any installations etc.) But with the HP 9510i, I was able to complete the task alone. The software is great because it is easy to follow and easy to understand, not to mention the fact that it prompts you as to which type of CD you need for the application you are performing. I give this piece of equipment 5 Stars and a well done to HP...
