I purchased a new computer recently. It did not have a port for my old HP printer cable. I thought I would have to buy a new printer too. In looking through the printer's owners manual it showed a usb cable that could be used. It was not usb on each end but some kind of special HP cable. I searched the HP website and learned that they no longer carried the cable. Amazon to the rescue. They had many choices. I picked the one with the best price with no shipping charges. It arrived as advertised and worked perfectly. I am very pleased I did not have to buy a new printer.
