Another Hexy Winner,

Wisdom creates wonderful characters and unique plots. From 50 Ways to Hex Your Lover straight through Hex in High Heels, this is a series that will entertain and charm you. The romance is always hot, the heroes are to die for (and Jake in Hex In High Heels may be my favorite of the bunch). The witches are bright, funny, caring and completely loyal to their friends. I look forward to the next and hope Linda Wisdom keeps writing these highly entertaining books!

Started reading this book late last night and just finished it. WOW, Linda's books just get better with each one. Blair. our feisty witch is up to Were's amd smart mouthed Elves, with Stasi,Trevor and Jazz who makes a veryyy small appearence, along with her Tattooed bunny slippers. Jake, her Were-Collie who is her hunky man toy, is the target to his family pack of Were's who have come to the girls Lake Home, to buy the land from the Girls and to claim Jake back, but Blair Jake's hexy witch will have none of it. And they're ensues chaos, and danger for all of them. The side characters just add to the fun and dimension of these books, and I can't wait to read the next book of this series. If your looking for a fun comedic romp with some danger thrown in pick up her books, this book is the 4th of neat series, and I'm willing to all the way to the end with.

Really Fun Read!,

Hex in High Heels by Linda Wisdom was a fabulous escape from reality for me and it came at just the right time. I really needed a book that would take me away, make me laugh and was just pure enjoyment. It helps that I love reading books to do with witches, wizards, shape-shifters, and just plain old magic. Hex in High Heels is the fourth installment in this series and I really need to go back and read the others but this book completely stands on it's own. I wasn't confused or wondering at all what might have gone on before. This was a fantastic romp through the witchy world of Blair and her friends!Blair is a full fledged witch who has been around for hundreds of years; many of those living in the human world since she and her class full of mates were banished from the Witches' Academy. She owns a vintage shop in the town of Moonstone Lake and lives with her best witchy friend Stasi and specializes in revenge spells (which I think could be quite fun). There's a handsome carpenter in town, Jake Harrison, and Blair is crazy about him. He's a shape-shifter though, a cute Border Collie to be exact. He's pretty much the black sheep in his pack being a Border Collie instead of wolf which is exactly why he left and made himself a new life in Moonstone Lake. Things are finally looking good for Blair where Jake is concerned. He's been pretty stand-offish but he simply can't resist Blair and things are really heating up with the two of them. Then a woman shows up in Blair's shop looking to buy a revenge spell to use on her son. Unknown to Blair at the time, this turns out to be Jake's mother looking for a spell to use on him. Then a real shocker - Jake's ex-pack shows up buying up some property and looking to buy out Blair and Staci's land as well so they can split their pack. Really though, they can't stay there-Jake left to get away from them, not to mention a little known secret that Jake may have been promised away to someone else in his ex-pack long ago which throws Blair squarely on her fanny in shock. What evolves after this in the story is quite funny. There's something for everyone with vampires, gargoyles, witches, wizards, fae's, elves and even a cute little pair of bunny slippers named Fluff and Puff who end up attaching themselves to Blair's ankle as a tattoo. Then there were the elves that came to town to help with the carnival who were a hoot and a half with their bad manners and smelly selves. This book had so many laugh out loud moments for me! My favorite character by far was Blair. She's feisty, funny and out for a good cause helping people with her revenge spells. She's very outspoken and full of sass and doesn't take no crap from anyone and I pity the person who tries to shovel some her way as she's likely to throw some kind of curse at them. She was definitely my kind of girl - lol! Another favorite of mine was the gargoyle Horace because he was always showing up at the wrong time and always has something to say about whatever is going on, not to mention he's always up for causing a little trouble of his own if asked. Hex in High Heels is a fun read. Be forewarned though there are some pretty hot and heavy hanky panky scenes so if that's not your thing you may not enjoy the book. They don't overwhelm the novel but they are there. This is a book full of magical elements that I just love so I will be anxiously awaiting the next installment in this series while trying to catch up on the first three.

Reading in my bunny slippers!,

This review is from: Hex in High Heels (Jazz Tremaine) (Kindle Edition)
Hex in High Heels was great. I loved this book, it seemed more developed than the rest. The one before this Wicked By Any Other Name it was pretty obvious who was going to fall for who. It was just a matter of HOW and when would they tell the rest of the world.
This time both Blair and Jake have some issues to deal with before they can jump into a relationship; but this is good, because they already have a friendship formed. So when the romance comes, it just adds sparks to the situation. I loved how Blair told his mother he had a pack, OURS! Even if they weren't together, they still considered him family, so he was "ours." Linda manages to write funny, whimsical, amusing, easy reads about some great characters. I hope to meet all 13 in the class, and hope to have a couple books on things happening to each witch, not just romantically. I enjoy spending my time with them and look forward to the next one. Which should be loaded on my Kindle now!

All of Linda Wisdom moon lake witch books are fantastic and worth reading. Hex In High Heels is by far the best of them. Jake the were collie had broken from his pack of were wolves back in 1943. Now that he has set up a new awkward pack with his witch girlfriend Blair and her friends here nasty mother has returned with plans to expand her pack into his territory. If that isn't enough there a bunch of unruly elves start causing all kinds of Chaos. Especially when Jen his former fiance claims thier bound has not truly been broken. What more Puff and Fluff the magical slippers have attached themselves to a certain pair of feet and won't let go. Its up to Blair and her friends to protect the town from the were pack and their special pack together from a family of that could only be described as monsters. You'll have to read for yourself to know of Jake survives the breaking of a bond that suppose to result in death.

Funny witches and magic galore,

Hex in High Heels was my introduction to the world of Linda Wisdom and Blair Fitzpatrick. Though it is book four in the series, I decided to start from book four and then see how the series struck me, if it was something I would be in to. As it seems to be, the books are all loosely connected with the same characters reoccurring, but different ones taking the starring roles. So, though the series was new to me, I hoped that I wouldn't have to know too much about Blair and her life previously to enjoy Hex in High Heels.
Blair Fitzpatrick is a witch who just so happens to run her own vintage store and has a thing for a were-collie carpenter named Jake Harrison. The drama is hot enough between the two of them as they work out mutual feelings for each other that could soon blossom to something more. Yet, it is never enough to simply have relationship drama. No. There is always more. Jake's family ad former pack come to town looking to buy some land from Blair and ease in close to. This pack is made up of wolves, far stronger than the mere collie that Jake becomes. The worst part is that the alpha of the pack is Jake's brother, working in tandem with their vicious mother, who wants him dead! Blair is as determined to keep Jake as the pack is to have him and see him dead. Good thing for the pair of them that Blair is as powerful a witch as she is. Does make it any easier that some trouble making elves are also causing Blair a considerable amount of distress. This book was a lot of fun, for sure. Throughout the story, even in times of drama and distress, the story was infused with humor. At the same time, the characters were not all lighthearted parody's of magical creatures and things. There was a really great balance to the story, to the drama versus the humor. I really liked Blair and rooted for her the whole time, though of course we all know that the good guys generally win in the end. I did, however, feel like I may have gotten more out of the cameos made by other characters if I had read the previous novels. A few times, characters were brought in or things were alluded to that I had no idea about and could only assume they happened in one of the previous books. Suffice to say I am going to put the other books on my wish list and get them one by one. If they are anything like Hex in High Heels, I know I am going to enjoy them immensely.

Linda Wisdom is another new author to me. This is the first time I've read her work. If you haven't heard of the Jazz Tremaine series, it's a series about witches or should I say "Hexy" witches. The first two feature, Jazz Tremaine herself, the third featuring Stasi Romanov and 4th and latest book Hex in High Heels features Blair Fitzpatrick.
Blair runs a shop called Blast from the Past that sells vintage items and she's also a witch. One that has been crushing on shape-shifter Jake for a while now. When he starts pulling away she is one confused witch. But when he gets in a bit of trouble, she's determined. Nothing and no one is gonna stop her from helping Jake. Hex in High Heels is a light fun read. It was a joy to read. I loved the flirting and the dynamic between Blair and her hunk shape-shifter crush, Jake. In Blair's story you'll find romance, magic and adventure. If you enjoy humor along with your paranormal you'll be sure to enjoy this one.

Hex in High Heels is another great addition to the Hex series and if you're looking for something light and fun to read (as opposed to dark and intense), then you really should pick up this book - and the series if you haven't yet.
