About the Author
Jim Hughes has been a police officer for the past 18 years in Merrimack, New Hampshire. He also participates in his local youth baseball league, both as an umpire and coach.
Nick Hughes is an eighth grader at Mastricola Middle School in Merrimack. During the 2000 baseball season, Nick helped lead his 14-year-old Babe Ruth team to the town championship and was selected for the All Star Team.

Old Time baseball players give advice to kids. Most of these guys played in the 30's, 40's, and 50's. It's interesting to read about them and what they have to say. Book includes simple baseball tips (non-technical), and illustrated by kids.
