This album is an project by Ginger from the Wildhearts and Victoria Liedtke. It comes out as a perfect sing along album for hot summernights. You can listen to this album in your car, in your boat, on the neighbours bbq party, on your goddamn birthday. It`s perfect for every happy occasion.

When I first saw the CD advertised, I originally thought it was a album by one of the other members of The Wildhearts, who I have nothing against, but I do have to budget my money when purchasing music, but wasn't till I read a review that I realise it was he nibs himself.
Anyhow, enough of that fascinating anecdote, this record does remind be a little of "The Wildhearts must be destroyed", it quite a commercial sounding album, but still rock & roll.
What adds an extra dimension the songs is Victoria Liedke vocals, which really blend well with Gingers, to offer something new & bright to his already massive musical cannon.
Most of the tracks offer a positive message (most), which gives the record a nice "don't' scrutinise the music too much, just enjoy", which you need on occasion (not every album has to change the world).
You also receive a fee "Black Valentine" single, which has two none album B-sides (that's one for the kids!), "Wacky Women" & "She's a Beauty", great sassy rock song, with Victoria on lead vocals.
So a highly enjoyable album, a as with all of Gingers extra-curricular activities, he puts 100% effort in making it the best record he can.

My album of the year so far. Terrific sing-along bop-along tunes from start to finish. Swimwear is the perfect summer song. Tremendous variation throughout the album from the opener Black Valentine with its back and forth between vocals, through the pop-tastic Swimwear, the rocking Lock for Rock, the powerful How I Survived The Punk Wars, and the great closer We're Outta Here. And honestly, every track in between. Great great album worthy of your hard-earned dollar.

Well crafted and perfectly infectious, this is a melodic fusion of hard rock and power pop, with a side of social commentary. And with How I Survived The Punk Rock Wars, Ginger and Victoria have unleashed the most inappropriate earworm you'll ever have the pleasure of attempting to claw out of your brain.

This side-project of Ginger from The Wildhearts is amazing. Bursting with energy, catchy as hell and loads of fun. I think it's the best thing he's done since The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed.
