Better Than I Expected, January 29, 2007

I bought this album way too many years ago, and would periodically put it on to remind myself of what it sounded like. The music is really quite good and their take of Hey Joe is unique. The rest of the songs and also quite good and none make for throw-away space fillers. Jim Pons does a fine job on the vocals and I think with better promotion, this album could have made them a lot bigger than they became.
For those of you who want to hear what the LA rock scene sounded like in the sixties, you couldn't do any better than these guys and this album. Highly recommended.
