Hey, Train's Back,
This review is from: Hey, Soul Sister (MP3 Download)
As a Train fan, I've waited awhile for this song. While it demonstrates more development of the band that is now three very talented men, it is a beautiful blend of the past, early Train with the more recent evolution of the band on "For Me, It's You." Coupled with a fantastic mandolin part and Pat's crystal clear vocals, the song has much replayability and will grow on you the more you hear it - and it will be stuck in your head for days!
Well worth the download and well worth the look at the new album on October 27.

Fantastic!,

This song is the perfect combination of good lyrics, great instruments, and a singer who can actually pull off the vocals necessary to make it work. It might not appeal so much to die-hard Train fans as it's quite a departure from the style of their earlier works, but it's a fun, uplifting song and definitely worth the download.

Simply put: run, don't walk to hear this song. This is, in my opinion, sure to be a Train monster song. The kind of song you cannot listen to just once. Train is in the station.

I don't listen to a lot of new music, but I heard this and really enjoyed it. So I download it from Amazon, and it is one of my favorites. Great replay value, and not a lot of songs can say that. I can tell I will enjoy this song as much a decade from now.

As old as I am, I never thought I'd like this song. I listened to it all last summer while recuperating from an accident. It was on several TV shows, so I ordered it. My granddaughters and I sing it together! Makes quite a sight!!!

WHAT A GREAT SONG! It is so catchy and I cannot stop listening to it. The beat is terrific and, as usual, Pat M. has that unique voice. First heard it on a TV appliance ad. I am a grandma, but I am still hip.

I liked Train's older music. I fell in love with this song when I first started hearing it, but I didn't know that it was by Train for a long time. It has a different sound to it than their older albums.

Hated it at first, but now I can't stop listening to it,

I saw Train in concert several days ago and they played this song!
they sound so much more amazing live! I really hated this song at first when my sister introduced me to it, but after listening to it for a while it becomes really catchy and a pretty melody. This song always makes me smile now whenever I listen to it -- the lyrics, the melody, everything.

"Hey,Soul Sister" gives me ambiguous feelings. It has a great melody and rhythm. It's immediately catchy, with a reggae beat. San Francisco's Train has come back--but is it the San Francisco Treat? It's the usual pop love song--but some of the lyrics are plain laughable. Especially when front man Pat Monahan sings about his "untrimmed chest"--is it supposed to be a gross-out,a turn-on,or BOTH? A man singing about his chest hair in a love song is.... unique. Fun song--but maybe it's best as an instrumental? I don't know.

This has got to be the most annoying song ever! It makes me cringe and go into convulsions when it comes on the radio or shows up on TV in the commercial for that Panasonic TV! I dont understand how anyone can like this song!
