Love this bag. If I needed another one I would not hesitate to get another of this bag and I was actually thinking about getting the blue. There is more room in it than you would think from looking at the picture. I decided to get this bag after reading reveiws on the other brands of bags like this one. 2.0 out of 5 stars Extremely disappointed
I was very excited to receive this bag- and then I opened it. It is much smaller than I thought it would be and the material seems very stiff. It also seems like it is very cheaply made. The flashlight that is included has never worked. The mirror is extremely cheap and is held onto the bag by a "leather" cord that looks like it was hand cut.

If this...

There is more room in it than you would think from looking at the picture. I decided to get this bag after reading reveiws on the other brands of bags like this one. Heys has the padded shoulder pad which I thought was a nice addition to the strap which other bags don't have. Also when I got the bag I wasn't to sure about the cell phone holder. I have a motorola razr and wasn't sure it would fit but it does. It just barely fits so if you have a larger phone I am not sure if it would fit.

4.0 out of 5 stars I wanted to like this bag - I really did!, August 3, 2010

... but it just didn't work for me. I bought it with the intentions of using it as a day bag for an upcoming trip to Disney World, but ended up returning it.

Pros:
-- Quality construction.
-- Nice color, texture, and material.
-- Main pocket is roomy and expandable.
-- The passport holder is a nice touch.

Cons:
-- The water bottle holder won't hold anything larger than about a 16 oz container. I was able to cram in a standard bicycle water bottle, but the fit was very snug. Since the mesh is all that holds the bottle, I don't think it would be very durable.
-- The main compartment is fairly deep, but the zipper on top is shallow. I suppose the flashlight is included to help you find things hidden at the very bottom.
-- The front expandable (zip out) pocket is impractical. If you leave it unzipped and stuffed, then the flap will have trouble closing. I'm not sure what the mesh pockets in here are intended for - they're too deep for a cell phone, and too small for most sunglasses cases. If there had been credit card slots instead of the mesh in this pocket, I may have been more tempted to keep it.
-- The wet pocket is an interesting idea, but I'm not sure how useful it really is.
-- The cell phone pocket is convenient, but very small. I don't think a phone with a keyboard would fit.
-- Since this is a cross-body bag, there's only one position for it to hang - on the left. If you're accustomed to reaching to the right, this can be awkward.

I really agonized about whether I should keep the bag or send it back. I decided to send it back because it just doesn't meet my needs as either a day bag or an everyday bag. Just because it didn't work for me, though, doesn't mean it won't be the perfect bag for someone else. Look at the images and decide for yourself.

This item is as advertized. size is a tad small depending on what you expect to use it for. The black one is shiny and thus not really unisex. It is well made and should stand up ok to moderate use.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bag with a few flaws, September 9, 2011

I've used this bag daily for well over a year and I love it. It's just the right size for travel and commuting to hold daily essentials and keep me from carrying too much junk. It's nice looking --I got lots of compliments on it from stylish friends. I like the zippers and cross-body for security, and it's very comfortable. The flaws are 1) the material is breaking down, especially from where the velco hits on the front 2) the velcro on the cel phone pouch has never been secure (thus cel phone falls out if you use the pouch--very bad) and 3) there are too many little zippered bits which leads to trying every zipper when I'm trying to remember where I put that receipt or whatever. But as I shop for a replacement, I'm really on the fence about whether I want to replace it because it has worked so well, or try something different that could be closer to perfect. I feared the water bottle carrier would break because it seemed so flimsy, but it's held up just fine under occasional use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Disneyworld, February 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Heys USA TravelMate® (Kitchen)
I searched for months for a should bag for my 1st Disney world trip. I read all the reviews on this and so I purchased it.

This is the best shoulder bag I have ever owned. I refused to lug around a backpack or large purse on my vacation, while also being able to take it on rides with me. This bag has so many compartments to store stuff, and it's expandable. I carried my camera (mini SLR), cell phone, tickets, money, first aid kit, wipes, hair accessories, water bottle, batteries, chaptstick, etc. You could fit a small village in this thing. And it came with this separate little pouch to hang around your neck. It was waterproof, so that's where my money and tickets went.

It didn't hurt my back because of the cross body design, and the extra large padding on the shoulders was a plus. I wore a hoodie everyday so I put the strap between my hood and my body.
I highly recommend this to anyone who will be taking a long active vacation, like a theme park.

If this bag cost about $15, I'd be okay with it. After spending over $30 on this thing, I expected way more. It was a big let down.
