It melted!!!,

I bought this so that I could charge my cell phone in my car, as such you'd think you could leave it there... NOT THE CASE! I had it about 30 days, used it a few times with no problems and was very happy.
One day I pulled it out from under my seat after a particularly hot spell, only to find that it had melted so badly that I could not get the unit to plug back into the cigarette lighter. Pro: -Charged my phone well, connection solid -Inexpensive -Red LED to indicate power flow supplier/charger connection to car made Con: -Unit melted in my car when parked in the hot summer sun. More specifically, the portion that plugs into the lighter warped and the halves separated, bending more than 1/4" and edges curled inward exposing the internal circuitry -Made by a 3rd party, not a by an OEM (originial equipment manufacturer) which often provide higher quality Bottom line: cheap garbage, save your receipt so that you can return it when it fails. |
