Dell Inspiron 700m Battery

After using this battery for barely over 1 year the battery life shot from 4 hours to 1 and 1/2 hours, at the most. Now that the warranty has expired (only 1 year warranty), I need to get another battery.

I recommend choosing a battery that has better longevity.

Battery works great so far (1 month), took a little loger than promised to ship

Bought a battery in Dec 2009. Worked great, charged up to rated capacity. Then a couple of months later it wouldn't charge. I contacted Laptopmate via email and they got back to me the same day. I wanted to make sure that the problem was with the battery and not the laptop. Laptopmate contacted each week regarding the status of returning the battery. I finally was satisfied it was the battery and notified Laptopmate. They immediately sent the replacement battery along with a postpaid label. I took a few more weeks to test the new battery and return the defective one to Laptopmate. They were very patient.

Things go wrong and it is the response to the problem that sets vendors aside. I rarely give above a 4 out of 5 rating for products. This product is a solid 4. The overall combination of product quality and superior vendor service takes the rating to a 5. Laptopmate gets a 5 out of 5 for service speed, shipping out a replacement prior to receiving defective product and sending a post paid label. The only way this could be better is if they gave me the battery. I am always open to that. :)

Replacement battery is working fine here in Nov 2010.

I was so happy to find this battery. It is larger than the battery that came with my laptop, but it lasts longer by far. I was a bit going with an "unknown" brand to me. So far, I have been very happy. I have my little laptop back working better than ever for a great price.

Bought this one thinking I was getting better quality than the el cheapo ones I saw elsewhere. Granted, this is the real "8hr" battery versus the smaller ones that are half the charge. I was very bummed recently to find it is no longer getting recognized by my laptop, just a little more than a year after I bought it. So much for "quality." Sigh.

I started havin issues with my battery and was iffie ordering from Dell as their customer service was next to sad. I ordered this batter and have no complaints. Works fine and shipped fast also. I give it a two thumbs up. Just an FYI that you check your computer type and compatibility with the battery first.

My old Dell 710 battery had given up the ghost so on a whim I decided to purchase this non-Dell battery. Yeah, I've got a computer that works with a battery again. No longer do I have to use this computer strictly when plugged in - Very happy with this purchase.

I am very dissatisfied with this product. The battery will not hold a charge. I have to keep my laptop plugged in to use it

When I attached the battery to the computer, it worked fine. Once the battery was depleted, it would not recharge. Detached, reattached - nothing works. Bad product.

At first it was great and then two weeks later dead; and would not charge at all. I returned it. A year ago I bought one for 9.00 off of Ebay from China and that battery at least lasted a year... It would have lasted longer but my child dropped the battery and the bracket broke.
