Hi-Capacity Main battery for DELL Latitude X300

This battery is an okay replacement for the original Dell battery (it also appears to be one of the few out there). However, be aware of a couple of things before buying.

First, the battery is larger than the original by approximately 4cm (1 1/2 inches). Thus it does not fit flush with the laptop (like the original), and protrudes by the 4cm.

Second, when not connected to an ac source and the battery is fully charged, the battery indicator on my laptop says the battery life is a little over 5 hours. In reality...the battery lasts about 2 hours before the laptop shuts down (about 1.5 hours if you're watching videos online or running a few applications at the same time).

The battery works with the laptop, it holds a charge nicely, and it fits in the docking station. What more do you need?

Since Dell Stopped Making a Latitude X300 Internal Main Battery (they only offer the extended life battery on their website now) this is a Perfectly good Alternative to the Official Dell Product.

Battery reviews are normally uninformative because there are so many factors that can affect a positive to negative experience. This one has been positive for me, because 2 years later here I am endorsing this product. Let me first say that I got this from Battery King. The vendor is usually one of those factors that can influence the swing. That being said, I use this battery HEAVY. I use it on my train ride in the morning, charge it, use it usually during lunch, charge it, and use it again on the train ride home. Each session lasts a little more than an hour. For you super users, that may not be enough, but for me its just perfect. I have a tether connection to my Droid and it is usually connected to the internet when I am using it. It does not protrude beyond the dimensions of my X300, so it keeps everything compact. I am pretty impressed with this battery, given that it is not Dell brand name, and was around $40!

Battery recieved in excellant condition and works fine. Although I was under the assumption that it was a genuine Dell replacement battery as opposed to Generic.

You're always a little anxious, ordering by internet, overseas and paying by creditcard. Will I get anything and when? All my anxiousness was thrown away by expedit delivery with the product I expected. Excellent! It lowered my resistance against buying on internet! Thank You!
